Assassin's Creed Syndicate: Evie Frye

As you probably already knew you can play as two different assassins this time, there's Jacob Frye (the muscle) and Evie Frye who is better with stealth and a bit less effective in a brawl. This means players can choose what they prefer. For example if you like to enter a fight with an explosion and beat the crap out of your opponents then Jacob is your man, but if you prefer to remain unseen and take out enemies one by one without anyone having an idea what's going on then Evie is the one for you.

Two assassins for one player?

Yes, there's no co-op so you have to switch between Jacob and Evie. This means that you can play as either of them in the open world and have fun with that, but there will be missions that only Jacob or Evie can do. So that means that you have to switch to the other character, wether you like that or not! But there's still a lot to do and I think it's probably a good thing that you switch it up because too much of one thing isn't a good thing!

So you can choose your character?

Exactly, if you want to play as Jacob then you play as Jacob and the same counts for Evie. You can complete a lot of missions with both assassins and whatever works best for you (stealth or action) is the character you should pick. In a way this also gives you some replay value, if you first play most missions with Jacob then you can always play them again as Evie.

But what makes Evie so special?

Her skills and tricks are more based on stealth, which makes it easier to sneak into a place without alerting anyone. Jacob is more the type that picks a fight and the strongest one is left standing. Evie sneaks in and kills her target and then gets out. Some of her skills are a bit questionable, for example how she turns invisible if she's standing still. This seems a bit overpowered and I don't know if that's a good thing for this game. She also has some type of electricity grenades that allow her to stun or even take out enemies, how these grenades exactly work is unknown to me but I don't think this type of technology existed back then. But if you're not a stickler for what did and didn't exist in that time then you'll probably have a great time playing as Evie!
