What's new in Destiny year 2? (part 2)

In part one you could read that the leveling system changed, the quests and bounties have changed and your item inventory is bigger and allows you to level up one of your characters immediately to level 25. So what else is new?

Factions.

As you know there are three factions in the tower you can join, but now you're a bit more tied to a faction when you pledge your allegiance to that faction. For example you join Dead Orbit and you buy a type of token that says you're with Dead Orbit, but that means you can switch factions for a week. So you better make a good choice! There is also new armor and weapons but I have my questionmarks with the armor because it looks exactly like the current vanguard armor but with a different colour. I have to admit that this is lame, I really wish Bungie would create original armor for each faction, that makes is more recognizable when you join a faction and also gives you more detailed options for your own personal customization. You also get faction missions now, but these are unlocked if you have a higher reputation level with that faction and that also allows you to buy armor and weapons as you're probably familiar with. You also get reward packages from your faction after completing mission or reaching a higher reputation level. This also doesn't sound new but now the chance on a shader is increased and once you get one shader you won't get it again with that character, this increases the chance for you to get something new instead of the same stuff all the time.

Vanguard, crucible and legendary marks.

The vanguard and the crucible both work also pretty much the same as the factions, you earn reputation and that unlocks new things for you. You can still buy armor and weapons there and these do look different, especially the crucible weapons have some light green colour on it that I haven't seen before. Flashy! But what's most important is that the vanguard and crucible marks are gone, you get now legendary marks and you can earn these the same way you could earn vanguard and legendary marks. But the good thing is that these legendary marks are usuable for vanguard, crucible and for faction armor and weapons. This means no forced crucible grinding when you want to buy something from the crucible vendor or from one of the faction vendors. You can trade your vanguard and crucible marks in for reputation.

Exotic blueprints.

Do you remember buying multiple exotic armor pieces and/or weapons? Well you don't have to do that anymore in the year two update, because now every year one exotic armor piece or weapon blueprint is stored in a vault where you can get as many as you want for some glimmer and an exotic shard, so you can save your strange coins for something else. The thing is that you do need that armor or weapon unlocked, so if you don't have the exotic armor or weapon then you don't get the blueprint! I think the same counts for year two exotic armor and weapons, so this definitely helps you if you have multiple characters with the same class or if you have an exotic weapon you like to use and want to give to all your characters. This should make it easier for you to get more of the same without spending a ridiculous amount of strange coins.
