Game of Thrones game?
If you´re a fan of Game of Thrones and you like Telltale games then you´ve probably heard about this game already. The first episode (iron from ice) is now available and I must admit that I´m curious about this game. Not just because I like Game of Thrones but also because I´ve played other Telltale games like the wolf among us and the walking dead, I love those games so I hope this game will be just as much fun!
What´s the story in this game? Well it seems to follow the books better than the actual series on tv, because you play as members from house Forrester and eventhough they´re in the book they haven´t appeared in the series on tv yet. It looks quite interesting to be honest, but since you play as different characters I get a feeling that not every character you play as will survive and I must admit that I wasn´t a big fan of the 400 days dlc for the Walking Dead where you also had to play as different characters. I hope that works better in this game.
Do you also see familiar faces from the series on tv? Not just familiar faces, also familiar voices! So you should feel right at home in this game if you love the series, at least I certainly hope so because it will probably take a slightly different path than what you probably saw on the show since you play as people that are not in the show on tv. This might be interesting for some but confusing for others, still it might give you a more unique look at what´s happened and what is going to happen. But I think people that have read the books will feel right at home with this, because house Forrester is in the books so they should be more familiar with them.
I don´t know if this game will be as good as the wolf among us and the walking dead but I´d love to try it out! It´s always risky to turn movies or series into games, but I think Telltale games have a good reputation with that. A lot of people love the walking dead games (Telltale versions) and that gives me at least a lot of confidence that they´ll do a good job with this Game of Thrones game as well. So if you´re into Game of Thrones and you like Telltale games then I can definitely recommend checking this game out!
