Destiny the dark below is worth it?

The real question is, are you still playing Destiny? If not then I don´t know if you want to abandon the games you´re playing now, because eventhough you get several new things in this dlc it´s not exactly for everyone. You´ll get new armor, new weapons, a new raid, new missions and some other options. But is it really worth it? Well that depends on you, if you´re done with Destiny (you´ve played it a lot and don´t enjoy playing it anymore) then I wouldn´t advice you to go back. Sure if you have friends then you can play the new raid and try out some of the new missions but if you play mostly solo then this will be more of the same for you.


So this dlc is bad? I´m not saying that! This dlc offers a lot of things and for people that are still playing Destiny or are looking for an excuse to go back to Destiny will have a good reason to buy this dlc. But Destiny is really a game you should play with your friends, the solo experience gets old real fast and it´s not easy to find friendly people in the game. Maybe you have more luck on a site but that´s not how games should work, it would be better if you can meet up like minded people in the game itself. So if you have people to play with and you enjoy playing Destiny then you have a good reason to buy this dlc because this will breath in some new life into your game. If you play mostly solo and don´t have anyone to help you with a strike or raid then this dlc will just offer more of the same. Sure there are a couple of new missions but I don´t think you want to pay 20 Dollars/Euros just for that.


Most people are looking forward to the new raid? I guess everyone that knows other people that also play this game, but for those that play solo this is just more stuff they can´t play. Still it´s nice that there is a new raid, a lot of people probably got tired of the first one and it´s good that they add another one. The same counts for the new strikes, things get old real fast if you keep going to the Cosmodrome! Which is interesting because several new missions take place on Earth, most likely in areas you couldn´t get to because of locked doors.


The new weapons and armor are also nice, but to be honest I´m quite happy with my look, so I wouldn´t need that. With weapons it remains to be seen how effective they are, because if you´ve got something good then you´ll probably stick to that instead of trying something new. There is no lack of content in this dlc, but the fact remains that it´s not for everyone. I wonder how many people will return to Destiny because of this dlc, maybe some will want to check it out while others have already said goodbye to this game. Solo adventures only take you that far in Destiny and I doubt it´s worth spending that much money on dlc when half of it (especially the most important part, the raid) is out of your reach. But if you enjoy Destiny then you´ll probably buy it anyway, so hopefully it´s worth it!

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Movie Monday: Mr & Mrs Smith

There are movie that might not look good at first, when you hear about it, but once you see the movie then you know that it's a fantastic movie. What really made Mr & Mrs Smith so good was the acting of the two main stars in the movie, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. They had so much fun making this movie that it's an absolute joy to watch the movie. Which is good news for people that are looking for a fun movie to watch! Married to a spy? The story of Mr & Mrs Smith is pretty simple, a man is a spy and marries to a woman not knowing that she's a spy too. Apparently both of them are unaware of eachothers activities until their paths cross in their spy life, which leads to a lot of fighting and explosions. It's really not the action that makes this movie so much fun to watch but it's the humour. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with.
