Lara Croft and the temple of Osiris
I don´t know if you played the reboot of Tomb Raider but that one was fantastic! I know that some people hate that game but you´ll always have people that hate games for being a bit different, that´s something that doesn´t restrict itself just to games by the way. Lara Croft and the temple of Osiris is more puzzles and tomb exploration than personality, so if that´s your thing then you´re in luck. Also you can now play with three other people at the same time in the game. But is this really what Tomb Raider is all about?
To be honest I don´t mind these games, they´re fun to play with friends (solo usually gets old pretty fast) and it´s nice that you actually have a role in the team instead of just being number whatever that helps shoot the enemies. The characters have skills that can help you get through the temple, for example the grappling hook and some type of staff that raises platforms. Both help you get through the temple and sometimes help another character that doesn´t have that ability get further.
So playing with others is encouraged? Absolutely! It´s not just fun to play with your friends, it also creates a more unique gameplay where you have to work together to get further instead of just solo getting through puzzle areas that are based on your character. When you play as different characters then the game will adjust to that and have some more challenging puzzles, nothing to break your head on but still something to keep you busy. You can play as Lara Croft, Carter Bell, Isis and Horus. Yes those last two are Egyptian gods, so if that´s your thing then you´re in luck. You´ll also meet other characters from Egyptian mythology so if you´re interested in that then you´re going to have a blast fighting as or against Egyptian gods.
What about the story? Well this is a bit less important in this game, because the game is mainly created for four people having a blast getting through areas. Which is fun and that definitely makes this game worth playing. But if you compare this to the reboot of Lara Croft then this game is less impressive, it´s not bad but it just doesn´t give you the interesting conversations and details that the reboot offered. But don´t worry about that, the rise of the Tomb Raider will change that once that game will be available! In the meantime you can play this game and have some old fashioned co-op chaos, which is usually a lot of fun!
