The rise of the female super hero!

When there are a lot of rumors going on about something then there´s a good chance that there is a part of that true, at least I certainly hope so! All this talking about a Ms Marvel movie really makes me hope that these rumors are true, because after a lot of male super heroes finding their way on the bg screen it would be nice to see some female super heroes there as well!


Why Ms Marvel? Well she´s pretty cool, also she would fit well with the Avengers and other projects like that show about Jessica Jones. But let´s be honest, she´s beautiful and she´s powerful so why the hell not? You might think why not make a movie about another female super hero? Well if Ms Marvel is going to work out well then that will only be the start of something big and let´s not forget that Wonder Woman is also ready to shine in Batman vs Superman, so why knows how that will turn out. I really hope that this will lead to more female (super) heroes because I don´t mind some girl power!


Wasn´t there already a female super hero movie? I guess you could call Elektra a super hero but the problem with that movie is...well you could say what wasn´t the problem with that movie? I won´t say it was terrible but it felt so weird if I compared that movie with Daredevil, eventhough some people hate the movie Daredevil I think it was ok. Elektra was definately the best part of that movie and to see her so different in the movie Elektra was just weird. I hope that Marvel won´t make this mistake again, I mean if you can do it right for so many male super heroes then why not for the female super heroes?


I´m also looking forward to some cool games based on these characters, I´m not saying on the movies because games based on movies aren´t always the best games. But I wouldn´t mind playing a Ms Marvel game or a Wonder Woman game, as long as they make it a good game then I´m interested in playing it. I really like Catwoman in Batman Arkham City, so I know that it´s possible! But then again Catwoman wasn´t the main character from the game, but I´d definately like to see a game where you play as her all the time. Once again if they do it right then I´m all up for it!

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Movie Monday: Mr & Mrs Smith

There are movie that might not look good at first, when you hear about it, but once you see the movie then you know that it's a fantastic movie. What really made Mr & Mrs Smith so good was the acting of the two main stars in the movie, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. They had so much fun making this movie that it's an absolute joy to watch the movie. Which is good news for people that are looking for a fun movie to watch! Married to a spy? The story of Mr & Mrs Smith is pretty simple, a man is a spy and marries to a woman not knowing that she's a spy too. Apparently both of them are unaware of eachothers activities until their paths cross in their spy life, which leads to a lot of fighting and explosions. It's really not the action that makes this movie so much fun to watch but it's the humour. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers? There is nothing wrong about being serious, but I think there is a time and a place for everything.
