Delaying Halo 5 is a good thing?
I bet it was rough for a lot of Halo 5 fans to hear that this game will be delayed and will now launch in 2015. Especially when first they said that the game will launch in 2014, I guess some people already had doubts but when the developers say it will launch in 2014 then you have a bit of faith in that. But now the latest news is that the game will launch in 2015, which means a lot of disappointed fans. Which seems quite understandable, but is it really such a bad thing?
More time to develop a game means that it will be better? That´s what you would think and I do think that it´s safe to assume that, eventhough it´s not always true. But I do have faith that 343 will make the most of this extra time and make Halo 5 an epic game! Why do they need more time? Well they said that they want to make the game as good as possible for the Xbox One and since this will be the first Halo game for the new console they want to bring the maximum of capabilities to the table, so the game will be everything you´d expect from a next generation title! I guess we´ll have to wait and see if that´s true...
Not everyone is happy about this news, which makes sense of course! But a lot of these negative voices come from people that hate Halo 4 and bring that same negativity to Halo 5, they want things to be like Halo 2 or 3 as if those games are the greatest games ever. News flash, they´re not! Oh sure those are great games but not the greatest games ever, but anyone is welcome to think so. The problem is that what some people think is true then suddenly has to count for everyone else. Another news flash, that´s not how it works! I do think a lot of people that are looking forward to Halo 5 understand why the game is delayed and will be patient about it, I just hope that it´s not going to take that much longer because it would suck if we have to wait till September in 2015 for the game to launch!
The game is now called Halo 5 Guardians and what that means is still a mystery to me, but I do think that the new and enhanced Master Chief might have something to do with that. If you played Halo 4 then you know that Master Chief got an upgrade, so maybe he´s now more than your average mortal? Ok as a Spartan he already was that, but I think this upgrade made him even more than that. So the Guardians were a group of warriors that protected something or maybe even someone? Maybe this upgrade will make Master Chief the first human in a long time to be able to become a guardian? Ah I´m probably thinking too much about it and seeing things that aren´t even really a key in Halo 5. Anyway I hope that the game will be awesome and until it will launch we´ll just have to be patient!
