Games make you stronger?
Of course I don´t mean that you get physically stronger, well you do have these games where you have to move around but I doubt that´s going to make you strong. I mean that some games can make you mentally stronger or just build your character. Which might not seem important to some people but this is something that isn´t a bad thing to have!
Have you ever played a game that made you want to destroy your controller out of frustration? Well I hope you didn´t and that you actually kept trying until you beat that game. If you did then that means you´ve got quite some willpower or you´re just very stubborn like me. Either way it makes you stronger, instead of giving up and moving on you kept going and that´s a trait that isn´t a bad thing to have. Because in life you´ll encounter several times situations where it´s easy to give up or run away, but what if you stand your ground and face whatever crosses your path? I´m not saying it will always mean something good for you but it helps you build character and you become a stronger person from such experiences. People that quit at the first sight of trouble or difficulty will never accomplish much in life, because life is full of difficult moments where you have to hold on to make it through.
So everyone should play games? Well I´m not saying it´s all thanks to games, but I do think that games help! It´s not even parts where it´s all about skill or luck, I´m also talking about a puzzle or riddle that you need to solve to get further. This is something that could take some time but by forcing yourself not to give up and keep trying you actually make yourself stronger by not giving up. Of course it´s a smart idea to take a break every now and then, no need to force yourself all the time with these difficulties!
In life you can always quit, just like in a game. But in life the consequences are a bit bigger, for example quitting school or your job will have a bigger impact on your life then when you quit with a game. Sometimes you have to hold on, do your best and make the most of it. It might sound stupid but sometimes the best thing you can do is move forward, time will not wait and by standing still you´ll only see others move on while you live in the past. Games can help you become stronger, but in the end it´s still you that has to do it!
