Sinful Sunday: Making deals
No I don´t mean making deals with the devil, I wouldn´t go that far. I´m talking about gamers that make deals before going into a multiplayer match, often trying to get achievements/trophies without actually earning them but just getting them from others if you agree to do the same for the other person. This might seem innocent but when you think there are people who actually earn that and then these people just got it like that then I can´t help but feel injustice.
You´ll often find people like this in deathmatch or team deathmatch, unless the achievement/trophy has to be earned in another mode. Maybe you still think that there is no harm in this, but seriously this is a cheap way to get achievements/trophies and most people that actually earned that achievement/trophy will probably not respect anyone that gets it by making deals with other people. If you need to make ten headshots then make ten headshots, if you need people to stand still and look at you to make a headshot then maybe you´re playing the wrong game. Besides practice makes perfect, but no some people are lazy scumbags that have to get everything and would do anything to get them.
You probably know this way of playing better as boosting, something that isn´t considered as acceptable by most people. Does that make it wrong? I think so, but then again right and wrong are sometimes not that easy to determine and what one person accepts another can´t accept. But when you enter a match with only your friends to get easy achievements/trophies or to boost your experience then I can´t help but think this is cheating, because you don´t play fair! There is nothing wrong with playing with your friends, but if you do it in such a way to get easy experience or achievements/trophies then I think it´s wrong!
I´ve gotten invites for parties to boost on Xboxlive, but I always ignore people like that. I don´t go so far to report them, I mean if someone does that then so be it. But I would never participate in something like that, if I earn an achievement like that then it would be one that is stained and I could never really accept that. Maybe it sounds stupid but I want to earn my achievements, if I got it in a way that I consider as cheating then I can´t accept it!
