Angry girls!
No this isn´t the latest add on for the game angry birds! I´m talking about angry female gamers that are not as rare as you might think! I think we all have moments that we´re angry, sometimes even over the smallest or most silly things. But that doesn´t take away the fact that you´re angry, sometimes that anger can even go so far that you vent your anger on someone else. That makes sense, so why would it be so weird that girls do this just like guys?
As social as girls are in real life, online girls are often not that social in a lobby full of strangers. Of course with friends they´re social, but in a match with strangers you don´t often hear girls. Unless they´re part of a group, but then they´re usually talking in party chat which makes it difficult if not impossible to hear them. But let´s not forget that a lot of people also play with their microphone unplugged, which means that they can be angry but you can´t hear them. I actually do that as well, not that I´m such a good guy but I don´t think I´d like it if some random douchebag went shouting at me so I just return the favour!
Sometimes it´s not always clear that you´re dealing with an angry girl instead of an angry guy, because some girls hide behind a male avatar and/or gamertag. So if you get hate messages then it doesn´t always mean that it´s from a guy, but I do think it´s safe to say that most of them are from guys. Because if you take the time to type a hate message then you clearly don´t care about others knowing if you´re a girl, at least that´s makes sense to me. I don´t think it matters, guy or girl I don´t care! If you´re being a douchebag then I´ll treat you as a douchebag, I don´t see how gender is going to change anything about that!
I would like to add that women are often more fun to play games with than guys, mostly because women are often less annoying (of course there are exceptions). But anger isn´t restricted to gender, girls get angry just like guys and I don´t think that one is better than the other. So don´t be suprised if a girl gets angry with you, but I don´t think people scream at you just like that. Well maybe some people are always plugged in with their microphone and comment on everything, but most of these people are guys (annoying guys to be a bit more accurate). But it´s not a crime to vent some frustration, it is civilized to unplug your microphone if you´re venting some frustration!
