Playing games during a conversation

When you play with others online then it´s not weird to talk with others, not that everything that´s being said is always that nice but usually there is some sort of communication going on. But not just in online games, do you remember the time that you were playing with your family and friends on the couch in a splitscreen game? Maybe some of the games you played even allowed you to share the same screen, which would usually mean that one would be ruining the screen for the other. That would often lead to some interesting conversations, usually with the same amount of insults as you get from random strangers in an online match. But what if I tell you that you could also just talk with someone on Skype, or whatever it is you use to talk with your friends, and play a game at the same time. This means you could have this serious conversation and suddenly someone wins the game and goes woohoo!!! Of course this will completely disrupt the conversation but at the same time make it a little bit less boring, especially if it´s a long conversation and you both don´t have much news to tell eachother.

Talking and gaming is a must? I wouldn´t go that far, because I enjoy playing single player games or just silently play some multiplayer games. Sometimes I´m just in a mood that I don´t feel like talking, I know that I might be weird on that subject but I doubt I´m the only one who feels that way. It´s nice to meet new interesting people but that doesn´t mean that you always feel like talking, sometimes you just want to play the game and hopefully have a great time doing so. But when you´re already talking and then invite someone else to play games with you then it´s usually a solid yes, because staring at the screen all the time or looking around you can get boring really fast. Unless you keep the conversation very interesting, but I don´t think we´ve all mastered that! But when you play games together as a team or against eachother then you´re in for something to talk about. Even when it disrupts what you were talking about at least it brings some life into the conversation. Maybe even a boring guy or girl can be very interesting, because games usually bring out more of someone than just a simple hi how are you doing?

I used to play a lot of games on Skype with a friend, this was so much fun and I really miss that. Because we would be so absorbed by the games that we completely forgot what we were talking about. I think that alone was one of the reasons why I liked it so much, this friendly rivalry where we would push ourselves to the limit to try and win. Of course the winner would taunt the loser and the loser would of course have some good excuses for losing. I don´t think that´s different when you just look at friends playing games together, it doesn´t matter on what system you play that. Playing games during a conversation is fun, but it can completely mess up something you want to talk about. So maybe if you have something important to say you might want to take a little break from the games, otherwise it´s just good fun and chaos guaranteed!
