All I want for X-mas is games!
Do you know that song, all I want for X-mas is you? Well I can´t imagine that you don´t, because they play it on the radio and tv every day! It´s really the time to have some of your own music ready to play instead of listening to some random music on the radio or tv, because the X-mas bug has infected half the population of the world! But it´s not a bad thing really, because X-mas can mean a lot of things. You can spend it with your boyfriend/girlfriend, family, friends or in some cases also alone. I don´t know if you´re into the whole giving presents with X-mas thing but I wonder how many people asked for games? You might think it´s an expensive gift but there are plenty of games for sale, especially in this time of the year. But that shouldn´t stop you to ask for an expensive one, who knows maybe Santa will be kind enough to give you something special this year!
Spending X-mas with family or play games? This isn´t just the trouble for kids you know, a lot of adults have this problem as well. Especially for guys that rather play games in their house than going to the family of their girlfriend or wife and hear some nonsense you´d rather not hear. Oh wait I´m ruining the X-mas spirit here huh? Of course it´s a lot of fun to spend time with your family or the family of your girlfriend/wife, but what most of them don´t realize is that you don´t always have time for games! When you work hard every day, definately not me, then you´re happy when you´re home and you have some time to play some games. So when the holidays have finally arrived then I bet you´re looking forward to play games, unfortunately sometimes you´ll have to go with your better half to a place you rather not go. I´m not trying to sound like it´s bad to have a girlfriend or wife around X-mas but a lot of them don´t always realize that this is not just the time to be merry but also the time to relax and play games!
I don´t want to cause friction in a relationship but sometimes it´s a good thing to stand up for yourself, don´t always be the sucker that goes along with your girlfriend/wife and do things you´d rather not do! Of course a relationship is give and take, so sometimes you give and sometimes you take. She will expect you to come along and I get that, it seems like a small gesture but once you sit there bored out of your mind then you might wish that you stayed at home. Unfortunately that won´t do your relationship much good, so how to deal with this issue? I guess it´s easy to come up with a good excuse, but let´s not forget that women are smart and that you just happen to be sick or unable to come at the same day that you´re supposed to go to her family is something most girlfriends and wives will find suspecious. So how about making a deal? You go with her to her family and then later she will let you game for as long as you like! See, give and take! Of course everyone with a handheld computer will be able to take the games with him, but I doubt you´ll see many smiling faces when you play games in the company of others. But you can always be lucky and your girlfriend or wife has a younger brother or sister that has a console, which means you can play games there. Unfortunately the chance on that will be quite limited I think, besides you´ll be expected to sit with the rest of the family and not play games! Well whatever your tactic is and whatever it is you´ll do, I hope you all have a merry X-mas and of course a lot of fun playing games!
