Security updates
These days it´s better to have your private information protected, which makes perfect sense of course. But I can´t help but notice an overkill with security updates. It´s not just your mailbox that needs this, no Xboxlive has been crazy about it as well. Give us your phonenumber, multiple alternative emails adresses. Of course let me just pull that out of my magic hat! Even if I had all of that then I´m not certain I´d be comfortable giving that information out, but unfortunately you don´t have much of a choice. Because this is forced upon you, sure for the greater good but the fact that you can´t play a game because something needs to have private information from you kind of sucks!
Protect your stuff! Well this makes sense, you have something you care about and so you want to protect that. I think that´s why most of us have a pretty good password to keep unwanted guests out of our personal stuff. But for some that´s not enough, no you must have two or three passwords, add some other personal stuff just so we know for certain that it´s you. I think if you go too far with this that people actually just don´t care anymore, if you make them go through so much bullshit then people will most likely not be interested in whatever it is that makes you go through that. I´ve had that with the Xboxlive security updates, because I would get that every day and no matter how many times I filled things in and confirmed that online it still wasn´t enough. This would keep me from playing games, I´d be stuck looking at the same stupid text telling me that they need more. Let´s just say that I came close to destroying my Xbox 360 out of frustration. I´ve been a gold member for over 7 years, so I don´t think my account is fake and neither should anyone else with half a brain. I don´t cheat and I don´t do anything against the rules, but I still need to go through some random bullshit to prove that I´m really me and not someone else that has been playing on the same account and always payed for that gold membership for the last 7 years. Seriously Microsoft, what the hell?!!!
I know that there are a lot of bad people out there, to keep it simple, and that sometimes these bad people want to do you harm. That doesn´t always mean that they´ll come inside your house and hurt you physically, no often these cowards invade your private stuff and try to ruin you that way. What a sad life you must have if you do that for fun, if someone elses misery is your amusement. Well your parents probably think you´re the best for being such a loser, congratulations!!! It´s thanks to these type of losers that people need to constantly update their security, even for something as simple as playing games. I really miss the time where I could just turn on my console and play games, no now we must do everything we can to protect our profile just so the bad people can´t steal it or mess with it. Just imagine if you would live in a world where people could keep their nose out of the business of other people, now that would be interesting because you wouldn´t need all that protection. But that would probably be the same world where pigs can fly and where hell actually freezes over...
