Sinful Sunday: There's never a good reason to cheat!

Have you ever cheated? In a relationship or even in a game? It's easy to do but there will be consequences! Well maybe not always, if your boyfriend or girlfriend never finds out or if the developers are a bunch of idiots and nobody reports you then you might actually get away with it. Now that's something that annoys the fuck out of me and yet it happens every day. People that forgive the person that cheated on them or people that cheat in a game and can keep doing it because nobody seems to stop them. Sometimes I really hate the world we live in.

Cheating isn't that bad?

It's not? So if your boyfriend or girlfriend would be cheating on you then you'd be ok with that? If some random douchebag is cheating in a game then that doesn't ruin the experience for you? Well it must be nice to be you then to have such a high tolerance or to just not give a fuck about things you should give a fuck about. Cheating should never be accepted and I don't think that it's ok to cheat even if it's just for a joke. Of course you can cheat in a single player game, for example the Sims has this money cheat code and eventhough that is cheating you're not hurting anyone with that. The moment you enter a multiplayer game then things change, your cheats do affect other players and it ruins the match for everyone else. I would never accept cheating, especially not in a relationship. A relationship needs love, trust and honesty. If someone cheats in a relationship then the trust is destroyed or at least took a big hit. It's really up to you what to do with that but for me it's pretty simple, when someone cheats then it's over. There is never a good reason to cheat and so I will never accept it. No matter if you have such a good reason, there is never a good enough reason to cheat and so it should never be accepted. Maybe that seems harsh but honestly would you be ok with someone cheating on you? I doubt you'd be happy about that and maybe it seems a bit extreme to break up you need trust in a relationship and the moment that trust is gone then what's the point?

Punishment for cheaters?

There isn't a law that will punish people for cheating but in a divorce things aren't usually looking that good for the cheater, I doubt many people will have sympathy for the cheater and I can't really blame people for feeling that way. In a game there should definitely be a severe punishment for cheating. I feel like these days people get away with it way too much. Especially because some people don't consider certain behaviour as cheating. The same can be said about what certain people do in a relationship. Some people think it's ok to kiss other people when you're in a relationship, I disagree! In games it might not always be that clear, because is certain behaviour truly cheating? I read something about that yesterday in the comment section of a Friday the 13th video. Two guys were assholes to the other survivors by constantly shooting, stabbing and running over other survivors. This didn't just ruin the fun for the survivors but also the person playing as Jason because he only got one or two kills because the others were killed by the two assholes. In another round one of those two assholes became Jason and his buddy, who was playing as a survivor, was ratting out the location of the other survivors and also tried to kill them again. Some people think that this is just trolling, but when you perform such game breaking actions in a game and completely ruin the fun for everyone else then I consider that as breaking the rules and that makes you by definition a cheater. Not everyone agrees with that but I think a lot of people might agree with it because nobody likes it when people misbehave like that in a game. Should they be banned? It seems like a harsh punishment but when you keep being such an asshole in a game then I don't think you should be in that game, so yeah I think that they should be banned and so should everyone that cheats and ruins the fun of other people. It's never going to stop unless you stop them from doing it!
