Rainbow Six Siege new operators (white noise) are overpowered?
On the 5th of December we can all try out the new operators in Rainbow Six Siege, in this new dlc called white noise you get three new operators and they're pretty good to say the least. But with each new operator the discussion comes if these operators are overpowered or not. Right now they're being tested on the pc and for as far as I've heard people are ok with it. Because not matter how good some of them are they all have a counter and they go down just as easy as all the other operators, it's not like one of the new operators is invulnerable or has a lot more health. One of the new operators can pick herself up from a down but not out position, so I bet a lot of people will scream for a nerf on that but is it truly that good? Let's find out!
Vigil.
Vigil is a pretty cool defender, he is a true roamer and as you expect he has one armor and three speed which makes him very fast in his movement. His trick is his mask that he can use to hide himself from a camera. For example attackers usually use their drones to spot defenders, but when Vigil activates his ability he can't be spotted by a camera. Not even by a hacked camera. Instead the attackers will see some while glow on the edge of the screen when they're near Vigil, so they know he's around somewhere but they just don't know exactly where. This ability lasts about 30 seconds and takes about 10 seconds to fully charge again. So you can imagine that players will be invisible to any camera for most of the time. You're not truly invisible though, it's not like you can't be spotted by an attacker when he bumps into you.
Dokkaebi.
Dokkaebi is a really nasty attacker that can hack the phones of the defenders. This might not seem so special but it does give away their location. The phone will begin to loudly vibrate and it won't stop until they turn it off, which leaves them exposed for several seconds, or if they kill Dokkaebi. This makes Dokkaebi the perfect operator to reveal locations for the attacking team, because roamers can be a real pain in the ass in Rainbow Six Siege and now you have an operator that can reveal them, at least make them heard, and hopefully that prevents some nasty surprises. The fun doesn't stop there, Dokkaebi can also hack the phone of a dead defender and with that she gains acces to the camera system of the defenders, so she can see use them against the defenders. Now that's pretty cool! This can be avoided by shooting the phone of a dead operator, this way you can prevent her from hacking the phone.
Zofia.
Zofia is a real powerhouse, she has this special grenade launcher that can fire several impact grenades, she can do this without having to reload and then she can switch to stun grenades that bounce off walls and will stun everyone who is unlucky enough to be near them. This makes Zofia the point man or should I say woman for any attacking team, she can break through every soft wall, a wall that isn't reinforced, and then stun them so the attacking team can jump in for some easy kills. Zofia also has the ability to pick herself up from a down but not out position, as useful as this is she only gets one health when she does this so she has to be extremely careful. It also takes a moment, you can compare it to Doc when he picks himself up, so it can easily be stopped if someone sees you do it. But there are definitely good uses for it. Zofia is also the older sister of Ela, an operator from the previous dlc pack, and because they're so familiar with eachother and the equipment they use they both have a stronger resistance to eachothers special weapons. So the stun mines of Ela won't affect Zofia that much and the stun grenades of Zofia won't affect Ela as much as it will affect other operators.
Maybe some don't like these new operators but I absolutely like them, such cool new skills and also the look of the characters is pretty cool. Maybe their special abilities are a bit much, but they have counters in the existing operators so it's not like you can't beat them. Zofia does kind of make Ash useless at this point, so maybe Ash will get an upgrade or they'll change her a bit. Anyway I can't wait for the 5th of December and try them out myself!
