Moira, the newest hero in Overwatch
Do you still play Overwatch and are you looking for a new character? Then you're in luck! Moira is a new character that will join Overwatch in November (or December, I don't know for certain) and she looks really interesting. She's a support class, healer, so it might not look like an interesting character but she actually has some cool and strange abilities that make her very unique and fun to play!
What can Moira do?
Just like Zenyatta she has a Yin and Yang theme, but with Moira is goes a bit to the extreme. With one hand she can do damage and with the other she can heal her allies. Then she can throw an energy ball that either damages enemies or heals allies, depending what type of energy ball you pick, and her ultimate let's her damage enemies while healing allies at the same time. On top of that she also gets a super short moment of invulnerability, it makes Moira invisible and invulnerable for a very short time. So it's like she teleports but in fact she becomes invisible for a very short time. All these abilities combined make her a bit of a weird character and probably overpowered but I think most people will have to agree that she looks very interesting and definitely worth trying out even if you don't enjoy playing as support!
Moira is overpowered?
Jeff Kaplan, mister Overwatch you could say, already joked about that. He said that you spell Moira as OP AF. I don't think he really meant that she's overpowered but more as a joke to all the people in the community that scream a new character is overpowered without even playing as the new character first. But her abilities are pretty powerful. Not that she does extreme damage but the fact that her standard damage attack is like the one from Symmetra but then with a lot more range make her quite dangerous! Ok she doesn't do as much damage as Symmetra with her attack but the fact that it's almost impossible to dodge and can even hit Phara in the sky it is quite useful. Her healing ability seems overpowered as well but she can't heal people constantly, she has a healing bar that will deplete if she heals. She restores that over time or when she does damage with her energy beam. So I think that's fair, otherwise you have another frustrating healer that just never stops healing. Unfortunately some people will be hating on Moira but I'm definitely interested in playing as her in Overwatch. I like trying out new heroes and see what they can do. Of course that might be tricky with the one hero rule and everyone wanting to play as the new hero. Oh well it seems I'll have to go back to arcade mode, the place where there is absolutely not frustration and toxic players...
