How long do you play a certain game?

There was a time and place that I rushed games, I wanted to be able to beat games in one to three days and then move on to the next game. Of course that was dumb because games aren't meant to be rushed, you should enjoy games as much as you can. Especially when games are expensive and you don't have that much money to buy a new game every week. So it's smart to get as much out of a game as you can. Not just to get your money worth out of the game but also to have as much fun with a game before moving on to the next one.

Sticking with games longer?

I had Rainbow Six Siege for a year and a half on my harddrive, I have Overwatch since launch day (May 2016) on my harddrive and I install GTA V every now and then back on my harddrive when there is a new update. These are good games that are fun to play and so it makes sense to go back to them every now and then. There is no need to move on to the next game when you're still having fun playing the games you have. For example I love going back to Skyrim every now and then, just to have that feeling of freedom and adventure is amazing in that game. Saints Row IV is great for unwinding a bit, just to blow stuff up or go wild with the super powers. It's so much fun to play those games! But when I feel like playing a game with more depth then I love to play the Witcher 3, a great game with a great story and characters. There are so many good games out there that once you buy one of these games that you can definitely have this urge to go back to these games every now and then. Right now I would love to go back to the Witcher 3, it's been almost a year since I played it last and I really want to play it again. So the first moment I have no new games to play I want to dive into the Witcher 3 and have a great time in that game! It's easy to drop a game and move on, but honestly it's smart to hold on to games because sometimes you just get that urge to go back into one of the games you already played before and experience all the fun you had again. This isn't just fun but it can also save you some money, because buying new games every week or even every month can be an expensive hobby. So it's not a bad thing to appreciate the games you already played before.

Is there a time when you should stop playing a game?

I would say not but I do know from my own experience with certain games that playing a game for too long can be quite bad for you. For example when I played Dragon Age Inquisition for four weeks in a row, playing nothing else than that game every day, I got so sick and tired of the game that I couldn't play it for a month! So I would definitely recommend to take a break from certain games or at least keep yourself exposed to other games. Don't focus too much on one game all the time or else you will just get tired of it sooner or later. I almost ruined Dragon Age Inquisition with my four weeks of non stop playing that game. No matter how much fun a game is you need some diversion and definitely a break from certain games, otherwise the game will get old sooner or later and at that point you just don't want to play it anymore. Right now I stopped playing Destiny 2, not that I hate the game but there is nothing new to this game at this point and I feel like I'm in a repetitive state of mind. So keep things fun and switch it up a bit, that keeps games more interesting and less frustrating. At least I certainly hope so.
