YouTube adventures part -31- Making a difference

Sometimes I feel like my videos only reach a few people which is fine with me, I didn't start a channel for fame and/or money. But it's nice when you can reach more people. The trick is to make videos that people find interesting or that are helpful. This way you can make a difference and stick out in the ocean of videos that is YouTube. So in a way it's about...

Making a difference.

I love making gameplay videos, I record single player gameplay (which is sometimes a lot of work) or multiplayer matches and post those on YouTube. But I don't really stick out with those because a lot of other people do that as well and probably have much better quality videos than me. So then you have to ask yourself, what is something that would get my videos noticed more? It's making a video that other people haven't made (yet).

Sunday I played Fallout 4 and I finally found one of the rare ingredients I needed to complete the Nuka Bombdrop recipe, it's rum and surprisingly it's very difficult to find in the game. So when I finally found it I decided to make a video about that, because if it took me many hours to find it then it wouldn't surprise me that other people might face the same problem. So I could've kept it to myself and let other deal with that themselves or I could make a video about it and actually help other players.

In a way that's what it should be about, making YouTube a fun place to watch entertaining and helpful videos. Unfortunately that's not always true but I'm glad I at least added something helpful to all the videos. Because you can make a hundred single player and/or multiplayer videos of you playing games but sometimes it can be as simple as just making a helpful video to actually get some views. But my main motivation is always to entertain and/or make a helpful video.

I did check YouTube if there was another video about the rum location in Fallout 4 but at that time I couldn't find one. Which means I had an original video that could actually help other people, because making the same type of video that already several other people have made doesn't really make a difference. But if you're being the only person at that time with that video then you can imagine that a lot of people that are looking for that and will be happy you made that video. Sometimes one video can make a difference, you can help other people and in my honest opinion that feels good!
