Sinful Sunday: It's easy to hate
These days I just have to watch certain videos on YouTube and I find a lot of hate, people who leave certain comments with the intention to be assholes or just be a sheep like the majority and jump on the hate train. It's easy to hate, it's so damn easy to hate! But instead of using your brain and actually think for yourself and not follow the majority, now that takes some effort and apparently some people are allergic to that!
Why do people hate?
Because it's easy? I guess there could be many reasons why but when it comes to certain games or movies it usually means people just agree with the majority or because a certain douchebag says something sucks and others follow his or her opinion like sheep. Scientists say that people are related to apes, well I think some people are related to sheep because the behaviour of some people is just ridiculous! Oh look this YouTuber says that the game or movie sucks, well he's probably right so let's agree. I find this really disturbing because if one person can have so much influence on people then imagine what a moron can get done in certain situations. Someone could become a Mayor, a Senator or even a President with enough idiots following him or her. But the problem with hate is that it's often tied to fear, when people are afraid they hate so much easier. Now I'm not saying that everyone that is afraid of something automaticly hates that, but there is often a connection. With games and movies that makes less sense but you shouldn't see it as fear of the game or movie, but more as fear of having an unpopular opinion and that it's safer to agree with the majority than to actually have your own opinion.
People hate for no reason at all?
Sometimes it really looks like people hate for no reason, especially when you ask someone about it. Why do you hate this person, that movie or this idea? Half of the time you either get no answer or some lame answer that pretty much explains that you don't really have a reason to hate. Sometimes it's a just because reason, which isn't really a reason at all. Why do you hate this new game that comes out? Because the graphics aren't top quality? Because you don't like the developers? Because the game turned out to be different then you hoped? But really, why do you hate the game? A lot of people can't really explain it, they just hate it and will often repeat what someone else say. Once again sheep behaviour, because one person said this so it's probably the right reason to hate it. It's scary sometimes to realize how easy it is to hate, because one moment you're fine and the other moment you're filled with rage and you can't even really explain it. What makes you so mad? What was it that turned you from calm to angry just like that? If you go deep enough with the questions then a lot of people can't really explain it, it's just a feeling that they have and they don't know why they feel that way. Now that's scary!
