Fallout 4 Nuka World dlc, this is the best dlc?

After reading so many people whining about Far Harbor dlc in Fallout 4 it won't surprise that there will be haters for Nuka World dlc as well, but don't let that stop you from checking this dlc out! It's actually a lot of fun and gives you a lot of stuff to do! It also puts you on the other side the Fallout universe, not literally but when it comes to the factions. You see in most Fallout games raiders attack you on sight, but in this dlc you become the overboss (that's how they call their leader) and lead three different factions in Nuka World, a pre-war amusement park with the Nuka cola theme running wild in it. What makes this dlc so much fun? First of all you're leading three different raider groups, that's fun and gives you something to mess around with. You can do missions for these raider groups or capture more parts of the amusement park and give this to the raider groups which will make the raider group that gets it more loyal to you while the other...

Frustrating missions in games nobody likes

If you played certain games then you're probably familiar with certain missions that drive you insane. This often makes you want to take a break or quit the game completely, because who wants to fuck around with an annoying mission when there are a lot of other fun games around  that don't have bullshit missions in them? Here are some examples of missions I personally hate. Escort missions suck? If there's one type of mission I hate it's escort missions, because you often have to escort some stupid NPC that bumps into trouble every five meters. This isn't just very annoying but can also result in you failing because how do you protect someone that keeps running into trouble? They don't have a lot of health and will die if they take too much damage, if you're lucky you can heal them or they regenerate health after some time. In some games you can also see how much health they have left, so you know how close they are to death, if you're shit out of ...

Dlc shouldn't exist?

I often hear people how they're upset that they have to pay for things that should be in the game itself, for example in some games you have to pay for dlc and then you get new characters, maps or weapons. This is all great but the part where you have to pay extra is where people often get upset. I get that, because it sucks when you have to pay extra for something that should be in the game. But is it always that easy? Do we need dlc or can we have games without dlc? Dlc brings new life to "old" games? You can hate developers for asking money for dlc but dlc does do a lot of good for a game, for example a game that you haven't played for months suddenly becomes more interesting with new dlc. You can go on new adventures, play against other people on new maps with new weapons or it could be something completely different that allows you to do new things that you couldn't do before in the game. Sure it sucks if you have to pay for it but if the developers give ...

Sinful Sunday: Betrayed by your friends?

Betrayal is always a bad thing, I don't think there is any version of betrayal where it's ok or accepable. In a relationship it's often the end of the relationship, for example when your boyfriend or girlfriend cheated on you. But what about betrayal in a game? Is this more acceptable or is it just as bad, perhaps even worse? You have no friends in competitive multiplayer? That's a grim but smart way of looking at it, especially in free for all you might want to think about trusting other people, even when they say they won't attack you there is always a chance that they will and stab you in the back. This doesn't have to be fatal but it does put you in a disadvantage, which makes it harder to win. My advice is that no matter how close you are with someone else, in competitive multiplayer you better not be too trusting. Even in team games because your "friend" could decide to steal your kills, could shoot you in the back and eliminate the competiti...

Titanfall 2, more of the same?

With the tech test on the Xbox One this weekend I couldn't resist trying out Titanfall 2 and I was hoping to see some surprises but I quickly discovered how much is still pretty much the same. Not only does that disappoint me but it even makes me angry, because what's the point of a sequel if it's just like the first game? Oh sure there are some new things but something important like being able to customize your multiplayer character are still not in this game and so are the weapons skins. At least the tech test didn't show anything close to that so it makes me wonder if it's in the full game. What is missing in Titanfall 2? The fast action and titans are there, of course they are and I have no doubts that this is going to be good. But where are the customization options? Can you even select if you're going to play as a male or female character? From what I saw your multiplayer character appearance changes depending on what ability you select. So if you wan...

What kind of person are you in a game?

Have you ever played a game that made you feel bad about your decisions? Sometimes it's not your fault, it's pretty much meant to happen, for example in a game like GTA V you do bad things but it's not like you can't do them. Oh sure you don't have to run over pedestrians while riding in your car, but when it comes to the heists or killing certain people in the game then you often don't have a choice because that's the mission! Choices in the game define who you are? I hope not, because I did some fucked up things in games! I think that games are just a way for gamers to do things they normally would never do. Maybe for some it could be as simple as asking a girl out, for some people this is a big deal, for others it's far more extreme as robbing a bank or murder. Of course most people would never do these things in real life, but games offer you a chance to be bad without feeling bad about it. Does that make sense? I think it does. But that doesn...

Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising Off the record

If you're a big Dead Rising fan or you've never played a Dead Rising game and you're interested then I have some good news for you! Because Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising Off the record are getting a nice upgrade in graphics with their remastered versions for the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC. Which is nice for everyone that has missed the fun, the mayhem and absurd situations. With Dead Rising 4 coming out later this year it's a good way to get back into the Dead Rising series and remember how it all started and all the crazy things you can do! What's so much fun about another zombie game? Oh you think this is just another zombie game? Well not exactly, oh sure there are zombies and yes you will have to kill a lot of them if you want to survive but things are so much more fun in this zombie game than your average zombie game. Mostly thanks to the absurd humour and crazy weapons you can make (this is part of Dead Rising 2 and Off the record), in Dea...

Being judged by other gamers

Have you ever played a multiplayer game and had to deal with douchebags that judged you? These people look at your level, look at the class or character you play as and will probably look at the amount of time you've played the game (for as far they can see that) and will often judge you on that. Oh you only played two hours as Genji in Overwatch? Well then you have to be terrible! Sure... Don't judge a book by its cover? If there's one thing you should know is that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, people can really surprise you and then you were that douchebag that talks shit about someone and was completely wrong. Of course you can have your thoughts about someone, but to actually mention these thoughts to other players in the chat is just rude and makes you look like a douchebag. Because if you've never played with that person before then what do you know about his or her skills? Maybe someone is a natural or maybe someone is a quick learner. There is...

Tomb Raider Blood Ties dlc, zombies?

In case you have forgotten about Rise of the Tomb Raider, probably not if you're playing on a Playstation 4 because the game is about to come out on this console soon, there is new dlc coming out. The dlc is called Blood Ties and takes place in Croft Manor, but instead of just diving into old memories of Lara you learn some secret about the place and then suddenly zombies show up. Ok that sounds lame but that's pretty much how it goes in the trailer. Is this dlc a dream or something like that? It is a bit vague, in the trailer there are moments where Lara is seeing ghosts or probably memories of people in Croft Manor. There is definitely a spooky vibe to this dlc and seeing zombies show up makes things even more creepy. But I don't know what to think of this, if this is actually something real or just imagination. Running around in old tombes, digging up artifacts and getting shot at a lot does weigh heavy on the mind apparently, so maybe this is just all in Lara's ...

Blizzard, please make the Summer event items for sale in Overwatch

It's fun collecting items in Overwatch but it takes some time to get certain things and sometimes you seem to never get something you really want. The loot boxes are quite frustrating because half of the items I've gotten from them are sprays and then also a lot of duplicates. I've opened more than a 120 loot boxes and I still have no skins for Ana, Lucio, Mei and Symmetra. Now that the Summer event is coming to an end and you can't get the special Summer even items anymore I bet a lot of people will try to do their best to get as many loot boxes as they can because you can't buy them with gold. Is this fair or is Blizzard just draining people for their money? Blizzard is greedy? Of course it's all free, you don't have to buy loot boxes and you don't have to pay for dlc. This is all great but then they put something like the Summer event in the game and put items in the game that you can only get in the special Summer event loot boxes and after the e...

Sinful Sunday: What you can and can't say to other gamers

If you play with other people then sometimes you say things that aren't very nice, even in a game with friends you sometimes use words you probably shouldn't. It's often in the heat of the moment that you say something that you might regret later, but it doesn't take away the fact that you said it. I personally try to keep the insults to a minimum and when I do insult other players then that's not something I say to them over the mic because it's lame when someone keeps insulting you during a match. But I can imagine that sometimes people annoy you or sometimes you just don't work well with other people, it's probably best to leave the team at the end of the match and hope that another team works out better for you. What are the things you shouldn't say? Something I hear a lot and often read in comments is people wishing other people cancer and if it's not directed at them then it's at that family. I think this is incredible rude and stup...

Attack of the remastered games?

Have you noticed the amount of games that are being remastered? So at first I thought it was only just a few, Saints Row IV and Resident Evil. But now you also get Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock trilogy and Skyrim. There is even talk about getting a remastered version of the Mass Effect trilogy and it doesn't even surprise if that actually happens. But are gamers actually happy with these games or do they prefer to have new games? Stop making remastered games? In a way it feels lame, buying the same game twice but then for your new console and often also paying the full price for both of them. Sometimes you get something extra, for example dlc is included with the game or they put some extra levels or secret stuff in the remastered version. But often it's just an upgraded version of the original, which means some better graphics and it probably runs a bit smoother on your console or pc. But are you really happy with all these remastered games? I think that's the real que...

W2K16, live your wrestling fantasy?

As a teenager I watched wrestling, it was the late 90's and my favourite wrestler was of course Sting. I think I watched every week some matches and always enjoyed the battles and everything that was going on. But after several years I stopped watching and pretty much didn't follow anything anymore tied to those wrestling days. But now with W2K16 I'm throw back into those memories and see a lot of new wrestlers as well. I'm surprised to see some women also playable, eventhough they're not playable in the career mode, and I really like to see some of the big names from the time that I watched wrestling. But is this game good and worth spending time on? Let's find out! Be your own wrestler? My favourite part about W2K16 is that you can create your own wrestler, which can be as realistic or ridiculous as you want. You can even make female wrestlers but you should keep in mind that the men and women don't fight eachother...well maybe outside the ring but not...

Resident Evil 7 is a mix of Silent Hills and Outlast?

If you saw the latest gameplay trailer of Resident Evil 7 then you probably know what I mean. It looks good, very interesting even but is this still a Resident Evil game? I mean where are the characters we know and love? I keep seeing new characters that seem to end up it bad places and can't defend themselves. Maybe some people like this but I miss kicking some ass as Chris, Leon, Jill or Ada. Sure Resident Evil 6 was not the greatest but you could still see it's a Resident Evil game, at this point I don't know what to make of Resident Evil 7... Resident Evil 7 marks a new era for Resident Evil? That will probably depend on how succesful Resident Evil 7 is going to be. Because if the game sucks or people just don't like it then things will go back to as they were, but if Resident Evil 7 will be a succes then you can expect more of these games in the Resident Evil series. I'm actually not against that, I just wish they kept some of the gameplay. I'm fine wit...

Metal Gear Survive...WTF?!!!

I don't think I've ever seen this much hate for a game that has just been announced. I think most people just jump on the hate wagon because it's easy or because Konami is evil in their eyes. But let's try to be objective and actually look at the trailer for Metal Gear Survive and try to understand what's going  on. What's going on in Metal Gear Survive? It starts when Big Boss has to flee from Mother base and just before he's in the crash and ends up in a coma for many years, but you don't play as Big Boss but as one of his soldiers that is left behind and get sucked up into an alternate universe. At least that's the idea I'm getting from this. Does this still makes sense to you? So in this alternate universe you don't have a lot of resources and you have zombies! Wait what? So it's not just an alternate universe but there are also zombies there? Yes it's weird I know. So you have to find ways to craft weapons and kill these zomb...

Final Fantasy XV delayed?

That's right, it's what a lot of people already feared and what actually happened. The game got delayed. But is this a bad thing? Well not really, sure it sucks that the game comes out later this year but hopefully this is the time the developers need to get rid of the last bugs and glitches in the game so you get a good game instead of a buggy or glitching game. I think we all remember Assassin's Creed Unity... Final Fantasy XV getting delayed is a good thing? Well that depends how you look at it. Sure it sucks that we have a wait a couple of months more but what is a couple of months extra compared to the ten years of waiting when the game was first announced? Exactly that doesn't mean that much, besides this should help the developers make certain that most of the bugs and glitches are out of the game. Because no matter how much I want to play the game I don't want to play a broken game that frustrates me with everything I do and that has a lot of issues. I t...

Gamers don't talk with eachother on consoles?

In a lot of YouTube videos of people playing a game on PC there is usually a lot more talking going on, something I don't see or should I say hear on the console versions of the same game. This kind of makes me wonder, do console gamers hate communication or are PC gamers just more social? Why do console gamers refuse to talk with eachother? That's a good question, the answer however isn't going to be that easy. What I find weird is that everyone that buys the Xbox One gets a microphone with it and yet whenever you play a game online it seems that no one actually uses this microphone. Oh sure there are some exceptions but most people that actually do use their microphone often use it to troll other players or use it to shout at team mates. I really miss moments where you can just communicate with a team mate and this person talks back. So for example I'm warning my team mates in Rainbow Six Siege that there is an enemy behind them and they actually respond instead o...

Sinful Sunday: It's a black and white world?

A lot of times I read comments or hear people talk about things like they can only be good or bad, as if that's what the world is a place where something is either good or bad. But I don't think that the world is just black and white, there is so much more and to limit yourself just to thinking that something is good or bad doesn't really expand your view on the world. I'd say that it actually narrows it down to a small tunnel vision where there is only one way to go and that's forward. But since we are three dimensional beings I think that there are so many more ways we can go, for example we can go forward, backward, left, right, up and down. My point with all this is, don't be afraid to be different or think different than the majority! When you don't like something you dislike it? I personally find this annoying, people that will automaticly dislike something because they don't like it. As if there is nothing in between liking and disliking somet...

Ranked matches are rigged to fail for lone wolves?

Have you ever played a ranked match and you just can't help but feel that you're set up to lose? The amount of times that I played a ranked match in a game and never stood a chance to the other team isn't something new. But it stings every time because you feel like you're wasting your time, especially when there is no way to escape because if you leave early you get a penalty (for example in Rainbow Six Siege and Overwatch). So all you can do is sit there and just accept defeat, even when you see it coming five minutes in advance. Ranked matches are full of unbalanced bullshit? That's my experience with ranked matches, it doesn't matter which game I play I keep finding myself at a disadvantage. For example in Rainbow Six Siege I end up in random teams and I will face often a team of friends that will work together and communicate while my team doesn't do that. The same counts for Overwatch where it's sometimes much worse, I hadn't even gotten a ...

Youtube adventures part 30

I like playing games, so it's not a surprise that my videos on YouTube have everything to do with gaming. The risk of putting videos on YouTube is that people will watch these videos and that can lead to something else... People will recognize you! When you have a small channel like me then the chance on recognition is quite small but there's always a chance that a subscriber or viewer recognizes you and that can lead to certain outcomes. The best outcome is the fan that's happy to play a game with you, because they like your videos and now he or she is playing a game with you. That's great! Unfortunately not everyone is always that kind, sometimes people make it their mission to annoy you during the match hoping that they mess up your video. As if a youtuber is always recording when he or she is playing a game. The problem with these people is that they won't leave you alone, they leave rude messages and sometimes keep stalking you online. I've never had ...

Blizzard is harsh?

I think it's safe to say that Blizzard makes some amazing games, wether you're into a fantasy open world adventure or just want to blast other people in the face in a fun first person shooter. But I do think that Blizzard is harsh towards certain players. I'm not talking about cheaters though, I think that deserves to be punished and that makes perfect sense but the minor punishments in certain games can sometimes be quite extreme for some players. Should you be punished for mistakes or certain things in games? I think it's good that developers are trying to keep people from being douchebags in games. For example people that rage quit, people that use cheats and so on. Banning someone permanently is pretty extreme but you can say that this person can't do it again with that account, but what's keeping the cheater from creating another account and cheat some more? Also giving a leaver penalty for rage quitters is a good idea, but the system isn't flawless...

Online game worlds are a good way to meet men and women?

My first online game world was in Guild Wars Factions, in the big monastery you could find hundreds of people running around or just standing somewhere. It's the meeting place for people that want to team up, want to show off their new gear or just want to talk with other people. I also met a lot of people there, at that time I was actually quite social and there were no barriers for me. I would talk to anyone I saw, something that isn't so natural to me anymore. But the point is that these areas in games allow you to meet up with other people for whatever reason. Making friends in games? When you play a mmorpg then it's easy to meet up with other people, but that doesn't automaticly make you friends. Sometimes they first want to see you in action, for example you play a couple of missions with them or go on a raid or something like that. You can also meet up in a multiplayer lobby, if you and someone else are both social and not being douchebags to one another then...

Goat simulator is actually fun to play?

I know I'm super late with discovering this game but honestly I didn't think it would be fun to play as a goat in a game. Sometimes I should really take my own advice and not judge a game before I play it. I guess I was just busy with so many other games that I never even bothered giving Goat simulator a chance and now that I finally have given it a chance I have to admit that it's a fun game to play! You play as a goat? Well yes...but not just a goat but some type of weird super human goat that can do a lot of crazy things and get away with it. For example you can lick things and they stay stuck to your tongue and you can drag that then with you. So if you want to lick people, ok this sounds a bit dirty, then you can drag them with you but also cars or other things. What makes this game a lot of fun are the secrets, things that change the game a lot and make crazy things even crazier. For example turning into a buffed goat when you beat several other goats out of a fig...

Opinions about games and movies matter to people?

With each new movie and game that comes out there are people that write reviews about these movies and games, more often than not these reviews get a lot of hate. For example there are apparently two types of people that watched Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice, there are people that hate the movie and people that love the movie. Now the same can be said about Suicide Squad, some people love the movie while others hate it. Which really makes me wonder, are people really that diverse or are people just looking for confrontations? So if the majority likes it then you're going to dislike it just to annoy others? I also notice with games that some people have strong opinions about certain games, some will defend certain games until their dying breath while others hate certain games with a passion. I guess that's what happens when you release certain movies and games, some people will like them and others will hate them. There isn't much that you can do about that! Are revi...

Sinful Sunday: Blaming others for your own mistakes

It's easy to get mad, for some people is very easy because it's almost their natural response to failure or a setback. I know that I sometimes get angry at certain people because they annoy me or I get the idea that they deliberately try to make you fail at something. For example in a game you have someone on your team that does nothing and doesn't do anything helpful, but this person stays in the team anyway and is pretty much useless. Of course you can try to stay calm but when this happens a lot and you already have a short temper then it's difficult to stay calm! But is it always the fault of other people? You can't always blame other people when things go wrong? What I notice in games but also in my daily life is that people often blame others when something goes wrong, it's hardly ever their own fault and the finger gets pointed pretty quickly to someone else. Which is already suspicious to me, because if it's always someone elses fault then that m...

Lucio ball, Overwatch becomes Rocket League?

I'll admit that I never played Rocket League, not that I really dislike the game but that type of competive games just make me frustrated and I prefer to play games that are fun for me to play. But with Lucio ball, the Summer Olympics inspired new type of match in Overwatch, things are a bit less serious and hopefully more fun. Lucio ball is Rocket League? I know a lot of people say that but I don't agree, sure it might be the same idea but it plays differently. First of all there are no boosts, there is no ceiling driving and you can explode eachother. As Lucio you do have a short speed boost, you can push the ball or other players with your special ability and you have your ultimate that can suck the ball towards you for a short time. What I like more about Lucio ball is that this is fast and simple, it doesn't really matter who wins or loses but just two teams of three playing against eachother. While with Rocket League I get the feeling it's a whole thing, the s...

Game tip: Rainbow Six Siege

If you have a gold membership on Xboxlive and of course you have the Xbox One then you're in for a good deal! Rainbow Six Siege is now 20 Euros if you have a gold membership, which is a pretty sweet deal for a fun game! What is Rainbow Six Siege? Rainbow Six Siege is a mostly multiplayer type of game that puts two teams of five against eachother, one team is defending and the other is attacking. What makes this game so intense is that a lot of things can be destroyed on a map, for example walls, doors, windows, floors and even the ceiling. This creates a lot of holes in the defense so the attackers have an advantage but the defenders can reinforce the area so it really comes down to good preperation and team work to beat the other team. The attackers begin with their drone looking for the objective which could be a hostage, two bombs (they only need to defuse one) or a biological cannister (which counts as a capture point). The defenders can immediately start reinforcing the ob...

Rainbow Six Siege: Skull Rain dlc

I like dlc in Rainbow Six Siege, it gives you new things for free and it keeps the game alive. With the Skull Rain dlc you get two new operators and a new map for free. At this point it's early acces for those who have the season pass but they'll be available to everyone (after you unlock them with renown) next week. There are two new Brazilian operators? That's right, you get Capitão and Caveira who both look cool and have their uses in matches. Let me first start with Capitão, he's an attacker that has a crossbow with tactical bolts. The first two bolts are asphyxiation bolts that will do damage over time in a small area. You can compare them to the toxic bombs from the SAS operator Smoke, except the asphyxiation bolts will do a lot more damage when players stand in the toxic cloud but it's smaller than the toxic bombs from Smoke. Capitão also has bolts with smoke bombs on them, these will cover an area in smoke and help you disappear or move forward without b...

Batman: A Telltale Games Series

Let me immediately say that I really like this game! Ok it's not your typical Batman game and it feels a bit weird playing this game after the four Batman Arkham games, but this Batman game really stands firm and proud among those games with its own unique way of playing. It might not be for everyone but I would really encourage you to try this game because it's a lot of fun! You play as Batman and Bruce Wayne? Well it's a bit of a trick question because Bruce Wayne is Batman, oops massive spoiler! But to be serious here you do play as Bruce Wayne in this game as well and you also get to play as his alter ego Batman. It's about a 50/50 split which seems to work well. As Bruce you won't really be fighting crime, but more the injustice in Gotham City and supporting your friend Harvey Dent who wants to be the new mayor. As Batman you try to stop Carmine Falcone and meet up with Catwoman who is a very interesting character in this game. As Bruce Wayne you don't ...
