Youtube adventures part 7
When you've been uploading videos for quite some time, let's say more than a year, then you've probably looked back and couldn't help but think about all those videos you made and uploaded and how people feel about them and how you feel about them. It's easy to say that you like it or that you don't like it but in the end you can't help but wonder one thing.
Is it worth it?
Spending a lot of time on making and uploading videos is time consuming and that doesn't really motivate you to continue, especially when you don't get a lot of views on your videos. Moments like that can be deadly for a youtuber, because you're wondering if you should continue with making videos and uploading them or just quit. It's easy to say that you'll just keep going but is that really the smartest thing to do?
If you feel like you're wasting time and don't have fun in making and uploading videos anymore then you might want to seriously consider to quit or at least to take a break from it. Because pushing yourself to constantly making new videos isn't going to improve things, especially if you force yourself to make them because then the videos will lack the enthusiasm and energy you would normally put in them. You really have to ask yourself if this is a video you would want to watch.
It's probably a better idea to take a break, think it through and try something new or at least try to do things a bit different. Keeping things fresh keeps things interesting and when you keep things interesting people might be more interested in your videos. Of course it's easier to stick to a pattern, to keep pushing out videos the way you've always did and maybe it might work out for you but it might also work against you and really make you want to quit with youtube.
But is it worth it to make videos? I think that's a question only you can answer. Do you like making videos? That's an important question you might want to ask yourself, because if you hate making videos then you really have to ask yourself if you should continue with your youtube adventure. Sure making videos isn't the most exciting part of youtube and uploading them is also one of the parts you might not like, but then when everything is done and your video is on youtube and people actually appreciate your video or just enjoy watching it then you can say that it's worth it. Even if it was a pain to make, it's at least worth going through when you can make at least one person happy with it. At least that's how I see it.
