Fallout 4 dlc details

Fallout 4 is a great game, my favourite of 2015, but does that mean that the dlc for this game will also be amazing? Looking at Bethesda's dlc packs for previous Fallout games and also Elder Scrolls games I think it's safe to assume that they know what they're doing! But what can you expect? Here is some information about the first three dlc packs and some new info on the season pass.




Automatron.


In the Automatron dlc pack Robots are released on the wasteland and it's your job to hunt them down. The man (or woman, maybe even another machine?) called the Mechanist is behind this and it's up to you to stop him (or her, maybe even it?). One of the new robot types is the robo brain, yes a brain in a robot...does that come familiar to you? It wouldn't surprise me if it did.




Wasteland Workshop.


In the Wasteland Workshop dlc pack you can catch all creatures in the wasteland, including raiders and tame them or let them fight eachother in an arena! This gives you a whole lot of different options for your base of operations. You could make a giant arena and have monsters fight eachother or raiders, but you could also put them on display in cages along the road if that's more of your fancy.




Far Harbor.


The Far Harbor dlc pack gives you a new story where you follow a Nick Valentine detective case to a new area with new quests and all types of new things to do. You also get new high level equipment, which makes things a bit more interesting because using low level equipment against high level enemies isn't the smartest thing to do. This dlc pack is also the biggest of the three and will be about 25 GB.


And what's new about the season pass?


Well it's going to be more expensive, because of all the dlc packs that will come out this year Bethesda has decided to increase the price of the season pass. Now you'll get dlc worth of 60 Dollars/Euros for a season pass that will be 50 Dollars/Euros. But the new price goes in affect on the 1st of March, so if you prefer to get the season pass for 30 Dollars/Euros then you better get it quick! You also get all dlc if you buy the season pass now, so it's a pretty sweet deal!

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Instead of button bashing people came up with the idea to press a certain series of buttons in a sequence, I first saw this in God of War which was fun. But s...

Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers? There is nothing wrong about being serious, but I think there is a time and a place for everything. When I play a game with my friends then I'm not being serious nor am I serious when I start up some random multiplayer match. Sure it's nice to win but it's not everything! Mortal Kombat X isn´t just another fighting game?

You´ve probably seen the announce trailer of Mortal Kombat X, then you probably also know that it shows two familiar characters fighting against eachother. At that point you´re probably still thinking that it´s just more of the same but with a better coat of paint, I understand that pessimist look and it´s not often wrong. But from what I´ve heard about Mortal Kombat X is that it´s going to be more than just a new game in the Mortal Kombat game series. What´s new? Apparently there will be more fighting styles for one character, giving everyone his or her own favourite style to use against opponents. There was something familiar in another Mortal Kombat game where they also had weapons in a fighting style, but this seems to go a bit deeper and more unique. Of course these are just words at this point, nothing has been proven just yet! But this would make it more fun to play against other people and see who masters the ultimate style, but I´m certain that there is a counter style f...
