The Turtles get a new game?
In 1989 I first heard of the Turtles, it was the cartoon for a young boy and it was like the best thing ever! The games with the Turtles are in their own way pretty cool, some simple hack and slash fighting but the adventure was pretty good since you could play with your friends at the same time. This was a bit different in the birds eye view Turtles game, but it was clear that the 2D adventure that you could play with your friends was the succes of the Turtles games. So there will be a new Turtles game? Of course I'm interested in that!
New Turtles game?
The name for the new game is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan. At this point it's not officially confirmed, for as far as I know, but it's pretty certain that this is what it's going to be called if they release this game. What does that mean? Well your guess is as good as mine, but it's probably more of what worked in the old Turtles games and now probably with better graphics and maybe some more moves. Maybe you're not interested in that but let's not forget that there is a whole generation of 80's and 90's Turtles fans that might be interested in that, but at the same time there are also be new fans or at least more recent fans that would love to see the heroes with a half shell back in action in a game!
Is there room for this game among all the big titles?
Of course! Not everyone likes first person shooters, which means half of the popular games are already gone, and not everyone is into sport games as well which takes another chunk of popular games away. Some people like it simple and fun, I'm not saying that first person shooters and/or sport games are only for intelligent people but the amount of bullshit that comes with it these days is just ridiculous. Sometimes you just want one button to do what you want it to do, not some ridiculous line of combinations or mess with the settings to get the edge in a game. Besides the Turtles are fun for almost everyone, at least if you're into the hack and slash type of games. I must admit that I'm curious about this game and I'll try to keep an eye on this game, at least if it's going to be as good as I hope it will be. But for now we just have to wait and see...
