Are you still playing Destiny?
No I'm not trying to be an asshole here, I'm seriously asking if you still play Destiny. Just like a year ago I got tired of Destiny the Taken King after a month, because I kind of got everything I could get on my own and then there was a whole lot of nothing. Oh sure there's always the same old crap but that gets old real fast. But now Destiny has Sparrow racing and more things are coming to Destiny so the question is are you still playing destiny or would you return to Destiny now?
Sparrow racing?
A sparrow is a type of speeder bike that allows you to move quickly when you're exploring, some sparrows are faster and more agile then others but usually you should be able to control them at top speed. So people asked about sparrow races since the first Destiny and now they're finally here, sparrow races and it looks actually quite interesting. You race against five other players and you get rewards at the end of the race as if you completed a mission or strike. The rewards could be shaders, emblems, sparrows and gear (there's probably more but that's what I saw so far). So it's worth giving it a try to unlock some unique items! I would like to add that the commentary during the race is quite annoying, Amanda Holiday and your ghost are commenting everytime when you get to first place or when someone takes first place from you. Imagine hearing that ten times during one race, yeah you get tired of that real fast!
There's more coming to Destiny?
Well if we have to believe Bungie we get more stuff coming to Destiny, in 2016 we'll get another event (something like festival of the lost) and there are also plans for big updates that compare to the Taken King. What that all means right now is still a mystery but at least you could say that Destiny is still alive, eventhough a lot of players have moved on to other games and I can't really blame them. I guess some people just don't want to spend too much time on one game when there are so many more awesome games out there.
What does Destiny need?
I would love to see some more love for the single players in Destiny, because all this time Bungie talks about you being a legend (your character in the game) or at least you become one but all I see is me needing other people to take down certain enemies. I don't know about you but I don't feel like I'm a legend if I can't beat enemies on my own. So how about forging a single player story where you can do some awesome things and actually feel like your character is a legend, where he or she can do some insane things and have to face overwhelming numbers. I guess the majority prefers to play with other players and that's fine, but as long as that is the way to play I'll just play other games.
