Sinful Sunday: Are you being an asshole?
In games you don't always realize that you're being an asshole, sometimes you just do something that works for you or something you like to do but that can also mean that you're being an asshole in the game. You might think that this isn't important or you don't care about that but how would you feel about it if someone is being an asshole in a game you like and that this person ruins the game for you? I don't think you would like that!
Are you an asshole?
I guess some people don't even realize that they're being an asshole in a game, they just do what they like and don't think about it. Which is good for them, but for other people it can be quite annoying. For example you're playing a first person shooter and you decide to camp, this might work well for you but you're annoying the fuck out of other people in the game and you can be your ass on it that they'll think that you're an asshole. Maybe you don't care, maybe you don't even realize that you're being an asshole but the fact remains that your actions in the game make you an asshole. Which means people will most likely not want to play with you again and if you were hoping to make new friends then that might be a bit difficult when the other people in the match think you're an asshole. Maybe you're not an asshole, maybe you're just someone that wants to have fun in a game. Well it's difficult to see that when you behave like an asshole in a game!
Should you even care?
Should you care what other people think of you? Probably not, but it's appreciated if you don't behave like an asshole. For example taunt people for no reason at all, camp and then talk big afterwards, bully other people for not performing so well in a game or just annoying other people for your amusement. You don't have to care but I think that you should treat other people the way you would like to be treated, so if you like to be treated fair and with some respect then why be an asshole to others? I'm not saying we all have to be friends, especially in competitive multiplayer that's not easy, but at least be respectful to eachother. There's nothing wrong with a joke or pulling a prank, but you can push it too far and that's not nice. Besides I doubt you would like it if everyone would be annoying you in a game. So I'm not saying to worry about the feelings of others but just be respectful, no I'm not talking about bowing and consider other players as honored guests but more like keeping a match clean and keep things fun without bashing on people for no reason at all.
