Christmas for gamers
How is your Christmas? A big family tradition or just you playing games on your own? I guess there are a lot of other options in the middle but it's at least an interesting time for gamers, because there are usually some good deals for games and perhaps even some interesting prices for consoles. Of course you could sing songs or watch the same old lame movies on tv, but you can also play games and have a blast!
Family and friends or games?
There's nothing wrong with spending time with family and friends, but sometimes you just want to play some games. Besides you can also play games with family and friends, so why not combine it? Eventhough you might have to convince some older relatives of the fun you can have with games, but we were all young at some point so I doubt that people forgot how to have fun! If you do have a family that insists that you're at the dinner table and not playing games all day then you could do your one good deed for the year and be there, besides you have plenty of other days left to play games in the year!
Should you play games with Christmas?
Why not? I mean it's not a crime if you enjoy playing games and if you don't like the whole Christmas thing and everything that comes along with that then games can be a perfect way to escape that. Even if you do like Christmas then that doesn't mean that you have to do Christmas things, it's a time of having fun (at least that's how I see it) and I have the most fun when I play games so it makes sense that I play games with Christmas. Of course there are family things to do, spend some time with loved ones and all that but there should always be some time free for playing games!
Do you behave differently when it's Christmas?
I don't think so, I still scream at my console when I get screwed over in a game (when your character is being hit eventhough you're in cover or when the game freezes, to name some examples) but I do try to keep things civilized. At least for as far that's possible because I'm not a completely different person just because it's Christmas. It is a time for caring and sharing so I try to avoid games that frustrate me and keep things fun, but I wouldn't make any promises. Just last night Batman Arkham Knight froze again when I tried out the dlc, I didn't feel like throwing my console out the window but I did kick the game out of my harddrive. I guess you could call that a bit of controlled rage. Just because it's Christmas? No because I hate that game and want nothing to do with it anymore! Anyway Merry Christmas everyone!
