You know you´re a hunter when...

Last week I talked about the collector, but do you know what works well with a collector? That´s right, a hunter! A hunter likes to earn achievements/trophies, you could say the full name would be achievement/trophy hunter. It´s not a suprise that a hunter and a collector are more often than not one and the same person but it doesn´t always have to be that way. Sometimes a hunter just likes to earn as many achievements/trophies as he or she can, but doesn´t really collect them. It´s more about trying to get as many as he or she can, not actually completing games or getting specific achievements/trophies like a collector most likely would.

How do you recognize a hunter?

* A hunter usually has a lot of games on his or her profile, not always completed though.

* Most hunters have a high gamerscore compared to the years of gold membership.

* If it purely for getting achievements then don´t be suprised to find a lot of single player games on their profile.

* The same can be said about the type of games they play, usually easy games where you can earn a lot of achievements in a short time.

Things you might not know about hunters:

- A friendly hunter will make guides on youtube showing you how to get achievements/trophies.

- Hunters sometimes work in groups, something they do for multiplayer achievements/trophies.

- The life of a hunter is a busy life, always looking for more achievements/trophies!

- Hunters often rent or borrow games instead of buying them, this saves them money and they´ll do their best to get as many achievements/trophies in the time they rent or borrow a game.

I think a lot of people can be considered as a hunter, I´d say everyone that plays for achievements/trophies could be considered as one. But maybe that´s a bit too easy, I mean just because you earn achievements/trophies doesn´t mean you´re a hunter. Perhaps if you go specifically for achievements/trophies then that makes you a hunter! I enjoy hunting for achievements, it also gives some games a longer life as you want to get as many achievements/trophies in one game, maybe you even want to complete the game by getting all of them. It´s not always difficult, but sometimes it can be a big challenge to get them all. I guess the life of a hunter isn´t always an easy one but I don´t think hunters get bored that easily!
