The best weapon a gamer can wish for!

In all the games you´ve played which weapon would you consider to be the best? I doubt that you´ll get one weapon that will rise above all others but maybe thanks to some popularity of certain characters I wouldn´t be suprised if it´s going to be a Final Fantasy weapon, to be more specific probably a Final Fantasy VII weapon. Wether you´re a Cloud fan with his buster sword or a Sephiroth fan with his katana (Masamune), I think both swords look quite awesome. But is that all you can think of when you think of the ultimate weapon?


Guns are weapons, why aren´t they more populair in games? I guess the problem with guns is that they seem to be everywhere and usually when you hear about a gun in the news then it´s nothing good, I know that there are some gun nuts out there and if it´s pure for a collection then I have no problems with that. Unfortunately there are also people that like to use guns, which doesn´t have to be a problem but sometimes they use guns on people and that´s quite unacceptable to me! Guns are too common to be considered as that special, now if you´ve got some futuristic gun that no one else has and looks cool then that would have a better chance to become populair. But I don´t think guns stand a chance against the fantasy weapons, there are so many people that enjoy these fantasy weapons and because they´re not real it´s why they´re probably more populair.


So getting back to melee weapons I must admit that I really like the gunblade from Final Fantasy VIII, it looks absolutely awesome and the ultimate version of Squall´s gunblade (Lionheart) is probably one of the best weapons I´ve seen in a game. But of course I´m a sentimental old fool and I can´t help but have a soft spot for the master sword in the legend of Zelda games. I must admit that I also like the weapons Nightwing uses in Batman Arkham City, the Escrima sticks are a lot of fun to use and you can build a combo very easy with them!


There are so many awesome weapons in games, I´ve problably forgotten half of them and that won´t even do justice to all of the weapons I don´t know about! But do you know what the best weapon a gamer can ask for? It´s your mind! When you´re stuck in a game you´ll probably have to think how to get further, if you have trouble beating a boss you´ll have to think of a way to beat him or her and in some games it´s also a good idea to plan your next move instead of just running into the next battle. Your mind is your greatest weapon and I think it would be a good idea to remember that!
