Looking back at.....Team Fortress 2!

I think it´s safe to say that this game is one of my favourite online multiplayer games, because it´s so much fun! It´s easy to play and usually annoying people seem to avoid this game, I´m talking about the wannabe MLG crowd. Most games I´ve played were a lot of fun and even when you lose you can have a great time!

What makes this game so special? I think it´s the different types of classes and of course the humour in this game that makes it so much fun. This game isn´t serious, so I doubt that the people that play this game are that serious either. Which means more fun and less drama, I think that´s always a good thing for a game! Because there are so many different classes, a total of nine, there is always a class for you. If you suck at being a sniper then you can be a soldier and just blow enemies to pieces, if you prefer to defend instead of attacking you can be an engineer and if you like healing instead of killing you can be a doctor. Whatever works for you this game probably has it!

My favourite map is 2fort because I love the design of the map and how it forces you to attack the other side. It´s a type of capture the flag on this map, which means you have to attack the other team to win. You can enter the other base on three paths, the easiest is going over the bridge between the two forts but that is also the most dangerous path. Then you have the sneaky path under water through the pipes, which is my favourite path. But if you´re good at timing your jumps then you can try to go over the roof of the bridge when you´re on the second floor of the fort, this is the most difficult path for you to take but it gets you the fastest in the enemy fort.

I played a lot as a soldier, that´s because I just love to blow other players up with my bazooka. But I also played as a sniper, doctor, engineer, spy, pyro, heavy and scout. The only class I didn´t enjoy playing is the demoman, because somehow I suck with that guy. My mines never seem to kill anyone and it becomes frustrating when you constantly get killed and you get hardly any kills yourself. But as I said before, there is a class for everyone and if one doesn´t work for you then there is usually another that does. I often look what classes most of my team plays at, for example if no one defends then I become an engineer.

This game is so much fun and even now years after when the game launched in the orange box I still love to play it every now and then. I would recommend playing it with friends, because that´s even more fun! It´s one of those games that never seems to get old, well maybe if they finally make Team Fortress 3...
