Sinful Sunday: Taunting your opponent
I'm not going to pretend to be a friendly guy, an opponent in a game is an obstacle and I try to beat that obstacle, but at least I try to keep things civilized (for as far that's possible). Which means no teabagging, unless someone is really asking for it, and no silly emotes when I beat someone in a one on one fight. But sometimes, just sometimes, it feels good to be silly and do the emotes just as a bit of teasing and taunting. Is that really a bad thing?
There's nothing wrong with taunting?
Between friends that is pretty much expected, I mean teabagging a friend is pretty much a good way to make fun of them. Just keep in mind that if he or she is sitting next to you that you stay out of punching range! I have no problems with this, but with strangers I feel kind of awkward to do this. You don't know these people and being this annoying douchebag online usually makes people go after you specifically. Which can be problematic and annoying if that goes on the entire match. But at the same time people lose focus and go into rage mode, this is actually that can work out for you because people that are upset are usually playing worse than when they're concentrated. Just be ready to reap what you sow!
Taunting is for immature people?
I mentioned this before when I was talking about teabagging a week ago, more or less, and I said that teabagging is for immature people. But I would like to say that a bit of teasing and taunting isn't a bad thing, as long as you keep things fun and not making it into a frustrating thing. Like people that have to teabag every person that dies around them. At that point it becomes annoying. Also teabagging someone you didn't even beat yourself seems like someone just does it to annoy other people. When I look at a game like For Honor it's actually fun to do some emotes, before the fight and after the fight. Of course it's more fun when you can do the emotes on the defeated enemy instead of the other player doing that on your corpse. I think that's the reason why the emotes are in it, not just showing off but a bit of taunting and teasing. If you can't handle that then maybe you shouldn't play these type of games. But at the same time it's nice when people can be a bit honorable or less annoying by spamming it or for every little moment in the game they'll have to whip out the emotes or go teabagging at the first chance they get. I doubt that people that teabag like to be teabagged themselves, I've seen multiple times people rage quit when they get teabagged when they first started with that. I guess that makes it a bit true, taunting is for people that aren't mature but I think most gamers are still a child at heart and there's nothing wrong with that in my opinion!
