YouTube aventures part -45- Some fans act weird or annoying?
Have you ever seen a YouTube video of someone with a lot of subscribers and then in one of his or her videos this YouTuber is recognized and people are suddenly acting weird or annoying? It wouldn't surprise me because some people suddenly turn into some weird people that either want to get noticed in the video or others go out of their way to try and ruin the video so the YouTuber can't use it. So you have to ask yourself...
Why do some 'fans' act weird or annoying?
I guess YouTubers are a bit famous, well that's an understatement when you look at certain YouTubers that have millions of subscribers and often get instantly recognized, so the moment someone meets a famous person then some people can't help but act weird. It's like meeting a movie star or a rock star in real life and this can be so exciting for some people that they start acting weird and maybe even annoying. But annoying comes more into place online, because people feel safe online so acting like a douchebag is easier for them and so more people will do that.
Perhaps some people aren't happy that the YouTuber isn't speaking to them or replying to their messages. You should keep in mind that when a YouTuber is recording you can't reply to every message, especially when you're talking about something and you have to stop every time when you have to respond to some random person saying hi. This might seem like the YouTuber is a douchebag but in truth he or she is just doing his or her job and when you do your job I don't think you like it when people are keeping you from doing your work! So in retaliation some 'fans' start being annoying to the YouTuber and try to get attention this way, not only is this frustrating for the YouTuber it also is annoying for the viewers because a fun video then turns into a annoying display of sadness if the YouTuber still decides to upload the video.
I'm glad I don't have that issue, when you have a very small channel people don't recognize you and you can pretty much record without having any incidents, at least not anything about people trying to ruin your video because they know you're a YouTuber. I guess that's a burden you have to carry when you get more famous online, people will recognize you and some of them will try to ruin your videos. Why? Well some people are just sad sacks of shit, I guess that pretty much explains it why they have to be like that.
If you do have a big channel or at least have some issues with people ruining your videos because you get recognized then I would suggest making a second or even a third profile just for recording and try to blur out the name of this profile so others don't know it's your profile. This way you should be able to play games without any issues from certain 'fans' and still have a good time recording and playing games!
