Resident Evil 7 isn't a Resident Evil game?

I don't know if it's just trolls but some people are saying that Resident Evil 7 isn't really a Resident Evil game. Which is of course ridiculous because not only is there Resident Evil in the title, it's also one of the numbered games and it doesn't get more real then that in Resident Evil games. So why are people complaining about Resident Evil 7 so much? Well let's find out!

Resident Evil 7 isn't a Resident Evil game?

Of course it is a Resident Evil game! Even if you ignore the title and the ending, you see some clear signs of this being a Resident Evil game. For example the herbs and being able to mix them to make stronger medicine, the item box, only being able to carry a certain amount of items at once, the save system (almost classic Resident Evil except you do get some autosaves as well) and mutated bosses. These are all things you would find in previous Resident Evil games, ok not in all of them but some of them (especially the older games) would have this in the game. So all this talk of Resident Evil 7 not being a Resident Evil game is just idiots talking bollocks! I'd say that Resident Evil 7 is a big improvement compared to most of the Resident Evil games, it pretty much took the scariest moments from the previous games and molded (no pun intended) that into something better and scarier. The first person view might not be for everyone but it's ten times more scary than a third person view or fixed camera view, because now the danger comes right at you! So Resident Evil 7 isn't just a Resident Evil game but also a very good and scary Resident Evil game!

Why do some people complain about this game?

Because some people can't do anything else but complain, instead of being happy with a new game that is actually pretty good they look for the things they don't like and blow that up as if that's game breaking and makes the game absolute garbage. Well I can tell you, after finishing the game and having a lot of fun playing the game, that Resident Evil 7 is a fun game to play and absolutely worth checking out! Why? Because it gives you a scary survival horror adventure, there are moments where you have to rely on your hiding skills but more times than not you can fight back and actually shoot enemies. So people that compare Resident Evil 7 to Outlast clearly haven't played any of these games, because shooting at a huge boss with a grenade launcher is typical Resident Evil for me and not typical Outlast. I get the idea that some people just want to complain about this game because they apparently have nothing better to do with their time, because really Resident Evil 7 is pretty good and the most fun I've had with a Resident Evil game in a lot of years! Not only because it's scary but also exploring a big creepy building and solving puzzles. Ok the puzzles aren't really that difficult but I'm ok with that, the last thing you want is to get stuck in a game because you can't solve a puzzle and having to look every puzzle up online to make progress in a game is lame! Resident Evil 7 doesn't truly commit to one or the other, so it's not super scary and not super action focused but more something in between and I think that's a good thing! So let the haters talk, they absolutely don't know what they're talking about!
