YouTube adventures part -44- Reaction videos are lame?

Have you ever tried to look up a trailer for a movie, game or something else and couldn't find anything in the large amount of reaction videos of that trailer? I understand that some people want to share their thoughts but sometimes it just feels that people are trying to put themselves in the spotlight for no other reason but attention. Maybe I'm missing something but I can't help but think that...

Reaction videos are lame!

It's so frustrating when you try to find a trailer and just can't find anything because of all the reaction videos, these are very easy to recognize because the majority of these reaction videos has the face of the YouTuber in the thumbnail that shows his or her reaction. I understand that some people might find this interesting, but honestly watching a video of someone reacting to the trailer you want to see just seems lame to me. I just want to see the trailer, not the reaction of some random person I don't know!

So this made me curious, are reaction videos popular? Well that depends, some random person that puts his or her reaction on something on YouTube might not get that many views but there are YouTubers that know how to make their video more interesting by making it more of a clickbait title. So when you read  the title you don't always realize it's a reaction video or that it's something that really makes you curious what's going on. For example: I almost had a heartattack when I saw this! Some people might be interested in what made this guy or girl get this type of reaction, was it really that scary? Usually it's not, it's just a clickbait title that makes people want to check it out and it often turns out to be just as lame as most reaction videos.

I never made a reaction video, because it would be weird to make a type of video that I don't like myself. I think the closest you get as a reaction is seeing my happiness, frustration or even anger when I play certain games. But I don't name these as reaction videos nor do I put my face in the thumbnail with my supposed reaction. I do like to talk about random things but I don't turn it into a must see video, because I find that extremely lame and annoying. If people want to see your video then that's great, if they don't then I won't lose any sleep over it. But when people seem to scream for attention then that just makes me want to ignore them even more. I know that's not nice but I just can't stand people that almost demand attention. I don't know about you but I got better things to do with my time.
