We're not allowed to enjoy games?

One the things that really annoys me is how some people have to ruin the fun for others, maybe it's not always their intention to ruin the fun for others but that's often the result when someone has complaints about a game or even a video on youtube. Instead of not watching that video or not playing this game there are people that demand this game becomes forbidden and that certain videos are being removed from the internet. Sure it's their right to be an asshole, but instead of being an asshole someone could also do something else with their life. Right?


Some games and videos are just too much?


I know that some games are quite violent, but somehow that's usually not the part that worries people. No it's the part in a game where you see a breast (maybe even two of them) or two guys or girls kissing eachother in a game that makes it 'dangerous' in the eyes of some people. The same counts for videos, even when someone shows a fragment of sex (it's even censored) in a video or a hint of something sexual then it's already a problem. Is that really crossing a line? I don't think so, but maybe for some people it is. Instead of ignoring this game or video they have to report it and make certain that no one else can enjoy playing that game or watching that video. That's incredibly selfish and just shows how much of a piece of shit you are! But hey at least no young minds are corrupted. But I wonder how it's possible then that there are so many kids in games like Call of Duty or is that acceptible these days? Oh right there's only violence in those games, that makes perfect sense...


Adults should be allowed to play games with mature content in it?


The same counts for videos, if a video is for a mature audience then what's the problem? Oh a kid watches that as well? So who's fault is that? The people that make games and videos for adults or the parents that apparently don't have a clue what their kids are up to? Of course it's bad if a kid sees violence or something sexual, but does that mean we all have to suffer because of that? Apparently it's forbidden for an adult to play games or watch videos online, because kids could also see them so we should make certain that they can't and so no one can play or see those games and videos anymore. That's like fixing a hole in the floor by throwing a builder on top of it, sure the hole is plugged but at what cost? Perhaps some people don't see the fun in violence or other mature content in games or videos, but that's ok because it's not for everyone. I just hope that there is a future for mature content in games and videos or do we all have to start preparing for some kid friendly nonsense in the near future? Now that's something that makes me violent!

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Movie Monday: Mr & Mrs Smith

There are movie that might not look good at first, when you hear about it, but once you see the movie then you know that it's a fantastic movie. What really made Mr & Mrs Smith so good was the acting of the two main stars in the movie, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. They had so much fun making this movie that it's an absolute joy to watch the movie. Which is good news for people that are looking for a fun movie to watch! Married to a spy? The story of Mr & Mrs Smith is pretty simple, a man is a spy and marries to a woman not knowing that she's a spy too. Apparently both of them are unaware of eachothers activities until their paths cross in their spy life, which leads to a lot of fighting and explosions. It's really not the action that makes this movie so much fun to watch but it's the humour. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers?
