Sinful Sunday: Dealing with frustration
One of the things people always told me is that you should always keep calm, ignore the frustration and just move on. Of course this is easier said than done and the worst part is that the frustration will stay inside of you making you miserable from the inside. Maybe you deal with frustration every day, do you think it's a good idea to just ignore it or wish it away? I don't think so!
How do you deal with frustration?
First of all I'm not an expert and I definitely don't qualify as someone to tell you how to live your life or what's best for you, but I am someone that has dealt with a lot of frustration in my life and I can tell you that it has never done me any good if I ignored my frustration or tried to put it away. I let the frustration out, if I'm upset then I get mad and let the anger out. Of course not against other people, it's not that if someone frustrates me that I'm going to spit in their face and scream in their ear. No I let the frustration out in games, preferbly games where you can blow off some steam by destroying things or just do something else you can't do in real life. It really makes me feel better after a bad day at school and/or work. I'm not saying that this takes all your problems away but I think it might help you feel a bit better, because keeping frustration bottled up inside you isn't a good idea!
But what if you ignore your frustration?
Then it will eat you up inside, it will tear you apart until you can't take anymore and you burst out in rage. This is something you want to avoid at all costs! I know it's not easy but what also helps if you talk about it with someone you trust, this can be a friend or family member. But maybe you want some professional help, this also helps for some people but it's important that you let this professional help you because if you don't open up he or she can't help you. If you don't feel like talking then perhaps it's a good idea to write or type about it, kind of like your own personal diary. We all process things on our own way and what works for one person doesn't have to work for another. Just don't ignore the frustration, deal with it and it's good to let it out every now and then. You'll feel better afterwards and you can move on with your life.
