Sinful Sunday: Campers everywhere!
My least favourite type of player in a multiplayer match is a camper, ok cheaters are also pretty bad but usually they're not long in multiplayer. Campers on the other hand exist in every first and third person shooter that has online multiplayer. Apparently it's just too tempting to stay in one spot and get some cheap kills instead of getting experience playing like a normal person and getting some amazing kills. But some people just don't play that way, why change something that works?
Campers are lazy gamers?
If with lazy you mean sit on your ass all day playing games then that would count for a lot more people than just campers. But if you mean lazy as in not doing much in the game itself and just aiming down sight for some cheap kills then that would be quite accurate. But it's not just people that are lazy, games also encourage camping. Just look at Halo 5 multiplayer, this is where running around gets you killed faster because you don't start healing when you run. So sitting still in one spot helps you more than moving around, which is ridiculous and I really hate that the developers did that.
Why the hate for campers?
Hate is a big word, personally I dislike campers because they ruin the fun in a multiplayer match. When you and other people run around searching for other players you get shot in the back by some cowardly piece of shit that was sitting in the corner or some douchebag that hides behind an item on the map and guns down anyone he or she sees. This takes the speed out of the match, which means everyone is going to walk slower and thus you make less progress, I hate that and I don't like checking every corner just to get from point A to point B on a map. What's probably the worst is that sometimes campers actually think they're good and brag or talk shit in the lobby, which usually gets them a lot of hate and I can understand why some people would give them a lot of hate. But this isn't fun, this isn't a reason to games or is it?
People camp to annoy others?
Campers aren't always people that suck at a game, sometimes they're also people that just want to annoy others and with camping you can definitely annoy other players. This is probably your worst type of player in a match, the type that wants to ruin the fun of other players. I don't understand why some people do this but it probably comes down to them being a sad sack of shit and not having anything better to do with their life. Looking at the amount of campers in games these days I'd say we've gotten more instead of less and that's not a good thing. Perhaps that means that there are more pieces of shit playing games or people that just want to get more results without doing more for it. What I do know is that the increasing amount of campers keeps me more and more away from multiplayer, because when multiplayer is less fun to play then there is no longer a reason to play it!
