Is it ok to rage quit?
Under normal circumstances I'd say no, but things aren't always normal when you play a game. Sometimes you have to deal with some sad sacks of shit and spending one more second with these people will probably make you want to throw your computer/console out of the window. So maybe it's not so easy to say yes or no, because sometimes things just get frustrating and it's better to leave than to stay in those situations.
Sometimes it's better to leave than to stay in a game?
I think it is better to leave sometimes, for example when you're having a terrible time and things are going horribly wrong. It's a bit selfish to abandon the team but if there is nothing left to do and you don't have anything to add to the team than there's no point in staying. Another reason why you could leave is when your team sucks, I'm not even talking about not having any skill but when they are annoying douchebags. You have to ask yourself if these are people you want to play games with, I mean you can ignore them but sooner or later these people will annoy you to the point where you just want to leave and join another team.
It's not always rage quitting?
What people sometimes forget is that people don't always rage quit, sometimes they're disconnected or they have to leave because something happened and they can't stay in the game. It's easy to get mad at someone for leaving but sometimes people actually have reasons to leave or it's out of their control, so before you feel like sending some unpleasant messages you might want to consider that sometimes people don't want to leave but have to or can't help but get kicked out because of shitty a shitty internet connection.
Everyone has or will rage quit sooner or later?
Probably, maybe there are some die hard gamers that never rage quit but you have to ask yourself why someone would endure certain things why it's easier to just leave. I don't think it's healthy to endure a lot of frustration, so rage quitting is actually you saving yourself from more frustration. That doesn't mean that it's ok to rage quit at the first sign of trouble, I'd say it's more a type of last resort when you've had enough of the people you're playing with or the game you're playing.
