Games are ridiculous?
I can't help but notice that games are starting to become weirder each year, not that there is anything wrong with weird but it's like developers try to go even crazier than before or trying to be more crazy than other developers with their game. Just look at first person shooters, first you have CoD with some over the top action moments where Battlefield allows you to destroy your environment. Then you have Titanfall where you can sit in giant mechs and run against walls with your character and CoD once more trying to top that with even more special abilities and insane movement over the map. What happened to just shooting eachother in a first person shooter?
Since when are games meant to be serious?
I doubt they were ever meant to be serious, that's why they're called games and not real life simulations. Eventhough some games do try to take a more serious approach than others. When you started playing games in the time of the plumber that jumps on the heads of enemies to beat them and play as a blue hedgehog running really fast then you're probably familiar with weird things. But no matter how crazy those games might be they are still easy to learn and easy to play games.
Competing means investing?
Well that depends, if you're a fan of first person shooters and you want to become one of the best then you might have to upgrade your current controller. Because facing people with their special controller will put you (in some games) at a disadvantage and sometimes that's enough for you to lose. I actually hate how it's now in some games more about winning at all costs than having fun, because why else would people buy a special controller to beat others? What's probably the most ridiculous part about this is that some of these people actually think that they're better than others as well. I see it like this, one half of playing games is skill and the other half is bullshit.
You're looking like an idiot when you play games?
Yes I'm looking at your Kinect! Is there anything worse than playing a weird game and looking like an idiot while playing that game? Well there probably is but that doesn't take away the humiliating experience of dancing in front of your tv and someone walking in. The same can be said about wielding a plastic guitar or waving your arms like a lunatic in front of your tv. My advice is to keep your door locked and close the curtains, it's better that way!
