The Saints are back!
I bet not everyone is excited about this news, hell half of the comments I read are people that still whine about how much Saints Row 3 and 4 suck. But there are also a lot of people out there that are happy that the Saints will make their debut on the Xbox One and Playstation 4, it´s going to be a stand alone dlc title called Saints Row IV: Gat out of hell!
So you don´t need Saints Row IV to play this dlc? Exactly! This is stand alone dlc that you can play without the main game, but it does follow the storyline of Saints Row IV so it helps if you have played that game on the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. But for everyone with the Xbox One and Playstation 4 and that haven´t played Saints Row IV there is more good news, there will be a Saints Row IV version for those consoles as well. This game will be called Saints Row IV: Re-elected.
What do you do in this new dlc? First of all you play with different characters, so you don´t play as your version of the boss but you play as Gat (probably the most popular character in the Saints Row series) and Kinzie (probably the most lovable character from the series, eventhough she appeared first in the third game). In the dlc the boss is kidnapped by the devil and has to marry his daughter, yes I know it sounds ridiculous but if you have played some Saints Row games in the last couple of years you know that this is nothing new! So it´s up to Gat and Kinzie to save the boss from hell and at the same time kick ass! It looks like ridiculous fun and that´s exactly what you would like to see in a Saints Row game. At least if you´ve been liking the way Saints Row has been going in the past couple of years.
Do you still have your super powers? I don´t know, because it´s dlc for Saints Row IV which means it could be but you do play as different characters and it takes place outside the simulation. I guess this will be a dealbreaker for several people, because a lot of people like Saints Row the Third but don´t like Saints Row IV. From what I saw in the trailer there are a lot of strange weapons and gadgets you can use, but I didn´t saw any powers that made me think that it was Saints Row IV. But Gat does look like he´s empowered by something when I look at the purple glowing symbols on his arm, so maybe it´s something in the middle? I guess we´ll have to find out next year when the dlc will be available!
