Destiny pre-order problems?

Bad news for people that want the special pre-order edition (ghost edition) for the game Destiny, it seems that they don´t have enough for everyone and so a lot of people got a message from the stores where they pre-ordered it and found out that they won´t be getting the ghost edition. Which sucks to say the least!


I´m actually quite surprised that they didn´t have more of this ghost edition because when a game is popular you want to have enough copies of this special edition plus items shipped with it in stock. I don´t think it happens a lot that there aren´t enough pre-order versions of a game, more likely there are too many and you can still buy this special edition of a game long after launch. But it seems Destiny will not have this problem, which sucks for everyone that was hoping for this ghost edition, maybe with some luck there will be more or with some extreme luck some people will cancel their pre-order ghost edition and you´ll still get one. I wouldn´t count on that though...


It seems that the people that won´t get the ghost edition but did pre-order that will get the chance to pick something else, which will be the other special edition (digital guardian) or the standard edition and spend the remaining money on a gift certificate. Which is probably the most they can do, I haven´t heard anything about getting your money back because most gamers that pre-ordered the ghost edition of Destiny will probably still want the game.


I guess this means that gamers will pre-order games even earlier in the future, at least if you want to be certain that you get the version you want, but then again it doesn´t always guarantee you for what you want. But it does help to pre-order a game early if you want the cool stuff, because as you now know there is a chance that they run out of their special pre-order versions and then you´re stuck with what´s left. Which isn´t bad, don´t get me wrong, but why settle with one thing if you can have something else that you like even more?


Anyway I hope you got the version you want, if not then I hope that the game Destiny will be enough comfort for you to enjoy. I guess we can´t all be winners, sometimes you just have to be happy with what you got. Besides you never know what the future might bring, new chances and new pre-order bonuses!

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Movie Monday: Mr & Mrs Smith

There are movie that might not look good at first, when you hear about it, but once you see the movie then you know that it's a fantastic movie. What really made Mr & Mrs Smith so good was the acting of the two main stars in the movie, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. They had so much fun making this movie that it's an absolute joy to watch the movie. Which is good news for people that are looking for a fun movie to watch! Married to a spy? The story of Mr & Mrs Smith is pretty simple, a man is a spy and marries to a woman not knowing that she's a spy too. Apparently both of them are unaware of eachothers activities until their paths cross in their spy life, which leads to a lot of fighting and explosions. It's really not the action that makes this movie so much fun to watch but it's the humour. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers?
