CoD AW multiplayer looks incredible!
Have you seen the Call of Duty Advanced Warfare multiplayer event? I don´t think I´ve ever been this excited about a CoD game and not just multiplayer but also single player looks like a lot of fun. It was chaos, so much information was thrown at you so I doubt I remembered all of that but I´ll try to talk about some important information or things I think are pretty cool.
What´s new? Well I think it´s safe to say that a lot of things are new, because the way you´re playing can change a lot thanks to the powers you have now. For example boosting gives you a chance to take a different route, evade or even to chase someone. You can boost into every direction and even hover for a moment in the air, it´s quite amazing! But you also have other powers where you can shoot projectiles from your arm, use a type of trophy system to catch these projectiles, use a shield (and still have a lot of mobility), cloak yourself and there are a lot more things you can do. You can customize your character with even more details, which helps you create your own personal operator (that´s how Sledgehammer calls them). You have a lot of weapons that you can customize and you can even customize your scorestreak! Instead of the pick 10 system you now have a pick 13 system, this includes your scorestreaks. So you can choose to have a scorestreak extra or choose less scorestreaks or even none if you want to focus on other things. You have a type of laser weapon which is in the new heavy class weapons, these weapons don´t use ammo so you don´t have to reload. But they can get overheated and it takes a moment to kill enemies when you hit them, this keeps things a bit more balanced. You can now also share a scorestreak, someone else can they spot enemies for you and then you shoot them down. And I saw a new game mode (I think it´s called uplink), you carry a ball like object and have to bring this to the opponents goal and you can score a point by throwing it or two points by jumping with this ball through it. It looks a bit like oddball from Halo 4, but that doesn´t have the scoring part in goals. Anyway a lot of new things to be excited about!
So it´s a completely different game? I guess you could say that but I´ve heard multiple people say that it still feels like a CoD game, it´s just faster and deadlier. So it´s just like Titanfall? Hah that´s a good one! Did you see any titans run around in the trailer? No? Well I guess it´s not just like Titanfall! Sure there are some similarities but looking at all the things this game offers I´d say this game isn´t Titanfall 1,5. CoD AW is the latest CoD game that brings things to a new level, I´m certain haters will hate it but I wouldn´t expect anything else from negative people like that. I also saw that you can play as a female operator, so I´m glad they kept that in from CoD Ghosts. You see using something from another game isn´t a bad thing! As long as your game isn´t focused on that then who really cares. Also hardpoint returns, the fans wanted this game mode back and here it is. Is anyone going to complain about that too? From what I saw I don´t see this as a waste of money, I think CoD has a lot of new things to show you and it would be a shame to miss out on that if you´re a fan of first person shooters!
This is the future of CoD now? That depends, I mean if this game does well and people don´t want to go back to the classic gameplay then why the hell would you? I´m certain that there will always be people that like the slow paced and traditional first person shooters and that´s good for them, but a lot of games become faster and I guess CoD can´t stay behind with that. Maybe there will be CoD games that will focus more on the traditional gameplay, I don´t think it´s completely gone but it wouldn´t surprise me if future CoD games (and other first person shooters) are going to be more and more like CoD AW. I was first not so happy with future technology, but Black Ops 2 was a lot of fun and after seeing CoD AW I´m very excited about using future technology. Besides if you keep the old CoD games then you can always play that, no one forces you to play anything here!
