Random invites

I think a lot of people that go online are familiar with random invites, wether you´re logged on a site or even with your game profile. It´s not a suprise that most of these random invites come from people with a sketchy profile, even when the profile is ok then it´s the case of accepting the random invite because there are people out there that prefer to first get to know someone before you become friends or talk online in a game lobby.

People are social, right? Well not everyone is social, I mean it´s easy to say that we´re all social because we have so many ways of communicating with eachother but that doesn´t have to mean anything. I have moments that I prefer to just play solo or just watch a movie, I´m not looking for people to talk to or games to join. But that doesn´t keep people from bothering you with a random invite. To me it´s pretty simple, if someone can´t make the effort to first send a message before the invite then I´m not interested. I don´t like random invites and even from friends I prefer to get a message first when I´m playing a game or watching a movie, it´s rude to expect that people are always interested in joining and thinking that it´s not a big deal. For example I´m watching a movie and then in an interesting part I see JBDOOKIE123456 wants to be your friend or wants you to join a party, this is then someone with a silver account (which means he can´t play online games with others) and has barely any gamerscore. This usually points out to a fake account or at least a secondary account, why people find it necessary to bother others with this shit is unknown to me.

Why don´t you just put your status on busy? Ah yes good idea, but you know what the problem is with that? I always forget that I´m on busy, so I miss messages this way and sometimes a pop up is useful (for example when a download is done). It would be nice if people actually took a moment to first check if someone is interested and/or busy, that would actually work in their benefit because people would accept these invites more likely when people actually show some decency. Maybe that´s asking for too much with some people, just don´t be suprised when people don´t accept your invites because you act the way you do!

It´s not a big problem, I mean you can easily block and ignore people just like that. I just wish that this wasn´t necessary, because I don´t want to be this asshole that acts this way. But when people act like a douchebag then I have less trouble being the guy that blocks them. It´s the same problem with online profiles on sites, especially women get a lot of random invites from (desperate) guys. It hardly ever leads to anything and I don´t understand why some people would do that, but to be honest I don´t think I want to know.
