You know you´re a lone wolf when...

What is a lone wolf? Well when it comes to playing games it often means that you prefer to play single player games, you hardly ever play multiplayer games and when you do then you´re not really a team player. In multiplayer matches lone wolves aren´t that populair, because they often don´t want to play as a team and just want to do their own thing. Sometimes this is mistaken for arrogance but in truth they just enjoy playing games on their own. Because they play a lot of games solo they´re not always that social, so don´t expect a lone wolf to be talkative in a multiplayer match. Of course that doesn´t mean that they don´t say anything, I guess a lot of lone wolves just prefer to play games and leave the chatter to other people.

How do you recognize a lone wolf?

* They have a lot of single player games in their game list.

* Most of those games they´ve completed or they´ve got a lot of achievements or trophies in them.

* Lone wolves sometimes mute other players because they prefer silence.

* Some lone wolves don´t have many friends in their list, but the friends they have are good friends!

* In a team a lone wolf will break away from the rest and doesn´t appreciate being followed by others.

So how do you deal with a lone wolf?

- If a lone wolf is in your team then it´s probably best to stay out of his or her way, they don´t want to be followed by others and probably work solo better than with someone else hanging around them.

- If a lone wolf is on the other team then you can easily defeat them if you work with your team, but don´t forget that a lone wolf is often skilled enough to take on multiple opponents at the same time!

- Don´t take offense if a lone wolf doesn´t want to communicate with you, it´s nothing personal but they prefer to concentrate on the match instead of listening to (mindless) chatter.

- A lot of lone wolves won´t accept a friend invite just like that, they prefer to get to know someone before they accept a friend invite. So keep that in mind if you want to be friends with one.

- A lone wolf isn´t always a good player, but never underestimate your opponent in a multiplayer match. It´s usually the quiet ones you should be cautious with.

If I wasn´t such a rager I´d probably be more of a lone wolf, I enjoy playing single player games and I can´t say that I´m that social in multiplayer games. But I can be a teamplayer, so don´t think that what I just typed here counts for all lone wolves. We´re all unique in a way and one lone wolf doesn´t set the standard for all others. But I think that some of these traits count for more than one lone wolf. So after reading this, do you think you´re a lone wolf?
