My girlfriend doesn´t want me to play games

I´ve heard this several times from guys who have a girlfriend that doesn´t like to play video games. Is it really so bad? Are women so evil that they don´t let guys play games? Often you only hear one side of the story, the guy can´t play video games because his girlfriend doesn´t like that. But what you often don´t hear is how the guy ignores everyone and everything when he plays games, which doesn´t make his girlfriend happy. Still sometimes people can be assholes, then they just want all attention for themselves, which means that someone else can´t have some time for himself (or herself) to play some games.


Women, you can´t live with them and you can´t live without them right? I guess you could say that. The trick with women is to meet them halfway, sometimes you do something she likes and other times you do something you like. If you´re in a relationship where you constantly have to do what makes her happy and she never supports or allows you to do something you like then I think that you might be in an unpleasant situation. I´m not here to tell you to dump that cow, no I´m telling you that it´s ok to want some time for yourself. Just because you´re in a relationship it doesn´t mean that you have to do whatever the other says or spend all of your time on him or her. People can be selfish and in a relationship that´s nothing new, but that doesn´t mean that you have to accept that.


But I can´t take one side in this, because I know that sometimes people can be real addicts when it comes to gaming. I think World of Warcraft is a good example of addiction to gaming, I´ve heard several girls complain how their boyfriend is addicted to that game and doesn´t spend any time with her. Of course there are also girls who can be addicted to gaming, but you don´t hear guys complain too much about that. No guys aren´t perfect, it´s more that guys usually don´t mind it that much when they like to play games as well. Which means that they can play together, at least if you´re lucky. Maybe not everyone that is an addict when it comes to gaming knows that, they probably find their gaming sessions of 10 to 12 hours as perfectly normal. Of course it´s not and I think that might be difficult to explain that to them. But when you love someone then you probably want to fight for what you have, you don´t give up at the first sign of trouble. Eventhough you will fight for what you have, I can still see people breaking up because they had enough of it. I know it´s fun to hang around with friends and play games together, but when you´re in a relationship then you might want to spend some time with that important person in your life as well! And no there isn´t a girl with a gun to my head making me type this.
