This is why I hate campers!
I know that almost every competitive type of game you´ll find campers, it´s sad but this is just the way it is. I think I´ve mentioned many times how much I despise these type of people for using such a cowardly tactic. Let me be clear about this, when I talk about a camper I mean the type of gamer that goes from the start of the map to a spot to sit still and shoot people in the back (or wherever, it doesn´t really matter). These lazy gamers ruin the fun of others, by always being this annoying factor in every game that takes the speed out of it. If you think you can run and gun then you´re mistaken, because there will always be some loser sitting in a corner shooting the living hell out of you. But this is to be expected, every time I play a first person shooter I expect there to be campers.
Yesterday I was playing some cranked, a game mode in CoD Ghosts, the idea here is to kill someone and then you have a timer on you. You have then 30 seconds to make another kill or you´ll explode, when you´re cranked (when you´ve killed someone and you have the 30 seconds timer on you) you can run faster and longer plus you can reload a lot faster. So it´s fun to run around and shoot people, at least that was probably the idea of the developers when they thought of this mode. But here comes the camper, the boring guy or girl that sits in the middle and just makes his lazy kills without too much effort. It´s just insulting that people like that are even allowed in this mode, they ruin all that it stands for and yet it´s allowed because it´s a legitimate strategy. Oh yes I´ve heard that so many times, this legitimate strategy bullshit. There is no strategy when all you do is sit still and wait for someone to appear in your sight so you can shoot the shit out of that person. Let me also add to this that you die very quickly in CoD Ghosts, so it doesn´t take much for a camping whore to kill you. In a way CoD Ghosts is the perfect game for campers. So it´s not a suprise that so far I´ve at least seen four campers in every match!
So why don´t you play another game? As I mentioned earlier, almost every game has campers and there is no escape from that. I can play Battlefield 4, Gears of War Judgement, GTA V or Assassin´s Creed IV and I´d still find campers in all of those games. Because you´ll always have cowards that are too scared to play the game as it´s meant to be played, but sometimes there is also the reason of being so bad at the game that the only way you can get a killstreak is to camp. In a way I get that, you want to get killstreaks but constantly you lose your one on one fights. But does that give you the right to camp? Well of course it does, no one can forbid you not to do it! Still I find it a weird response, I mean when I suck at a game then I do my stinking best to get better. I don´t sit in a corner and making easy kills. I don´t stand on the rooftops and jump down on people for easy assassinations. Of course we all want to be good at the game, but there will always be someone out there that is better than you. Hiding in a corner isn´t the solution to that problem, it just makes things worse for other players. But that´s the way things work now isn´t it? As long as I´m having fun and I´m doing well then that´s good, I don´t give a fuck about anyone else! I´m certain that people with that state of mind will become very popular online.
The worst type of camper is the one that does it to annoy other people, they hope to get an angry response and then they´ll amuse themselves with the hate they get. But how sad you must be to do something like that for entertainment, I mean watch some fucking Game of Thrones and jerk off on some Joffrey torture bullshit! I´ve gotten to the point that I don´t communicate with these people, because they seem to get turned on by all the negative attention they get. Holy hell where is the time that you played games for fun and it was just about beating other people in the game. Campers are a disease in the game community, a disease that spreads quickly and causes some serious rage moments for other gamers. I hate them not because they use a cheap tactic to win, I hate them because often they can do better than that but prefer to be this lazy asshole that ruins the game for other people. This selfish behaviour is annoying the crap out of me and that´s why I hate them!
