Xbox One is the one!
I´m actually curious how many people are still going to buy the Xbox One, because I don´t think that there has been a console this year that has gotten more crap thrown at it than this one. And yet here we are, only hours away from the midnight launch! It seems the console is still standing strong and hopefully it will stay this way for a long time.
After all the news gamers have been hearing about how the Xbox One spies on you, isn´t as powerful as the Playstation 4 and won´t have that many launch titles it´s actually amazing that people are still standing in line right now for it. That either means that there are people being paid to do that, people that have nothing better to do or maybe there are actually Xbox One fans that don´t give a shit about everything that has been said about the Xbox One! I´d like to consider myself as one of the people that will buy the Xbox One and I don´t give a shit about anyone that thinks it´s a bad choice, last time I checked I could buy whatever console I wanted. Well once it launches here...
The restricted launch of the Xbox One is still something that stings, because it sucks to see so many people being able to play on that console and yet we (people living in countries that don´t have the launch of the Xbox One this year) have to wait. Haven´t we been a big customer to Microsoft in the last ten years? So why are we treated here as a bunch of wannabe buyers and delayed with the launch of the Xbox One till somewhere unknown in next year? It makes it difficult to stay loyal sometimes, especially when Sony does release their console this year here, that makes it a bit tempting to switch but I don´t think someone that has invested a lot of time on the Xbox 360 will switch to the Playstation 4 just like that. Sure a lot of people talk big, but when it comes to actions it always remains to be seen what someone actually does.
Xbox One love or hate? I think in the past couple of months I´ve heard several opinions out there, most of them weren´t that nice towards the Xbox One. Of course most of these opinions are based on prejudice, as you probably know this is a popular sin among gamers. I don´t think many of us have actually played on the Xbox One, perhaps you were lucky enough to get a shot at that at an event but for most of us gamer mortals we just have to wait till launch day. Which means all our opinions are based on what we can see from a distance and what others say, I don´t think that this is the best material for an opinion. Because I think an opinion is based on your own experience. For example if you´ve played on the Xbox One and you didn´t like it, then you have yourself a solid opinion. But if your opinion is based on what someone else said, for example this guy who reviews games said it was crap so I think it´s crap is just a weak opinion. But it´s still an opinion, I think sometimes we forget this and get into heated discussions where it´s really just two different groups of people with different opinions.
The thing is that you don´t have to buy a new console or if you decide to buy one then you can choose which one you want to buy. Isn´t that nice? But that doesn´t keep people from attacking people who prefer something else. I guess some people are sad enough to be like that, instead of just being grateful with what they have. I know that if I had my Xbox One tomorrow then I´d be playing that all day, all weekend and probably the entire month or in this case the rest of the year! Why fight with other people which console is better when you can easily just play on your new console? Isn´t that why you bought it in the first place?
