Rage quit!!!

I think we´ve all done it in some point of our gaming lives, when you´re just so fed up with the bullshit in a game that you just quit. The last time for me was in Goldeneye 2, yes I should´ve known that this would be a piece of shit but I guess with my love for Goldeneye I couldn´t resist to buy this. It´s really the last level where almost every enemy has a weapon that can kill you with one shot that really drove me to the edge of insanity, I actually made it pretty far in the level until I encountered a lieutenant that had two weapons at the same time and could kill me also with one shot, the problem was that he could take a lot of damage and he has two henchmen that also carry one shot kill weapons. It´s so frustrating to constantly have to evade every shot they make and yet be able to put some serious hurt on them. It seems simple but when you´re in a small area with not much protection then it gets very annoying and frustrating real fast! As much as I´m not happy about my behaviour here, it´s at least something in single player that doesn´t inflict other players. It´s people in multiplayer that love to rage quit these days, I can understand frustration but really to react in such a way just shows how immature you are.

Are there good reasons to rage quit? I like to believe there are, when a game screws you over then I can definately understand that you´re pissed off. It really sucks when you do your best and you got swatted away as if you´re just an annoying fly. The best medicine to beat these situations is try again and again and again and...well you get the idea. But I would warn you not to go at it too much for too long, that isn´t healthy and I doubt you´re going to beat something if you´ve been at it for hours. Sometimes it actually helps if you take a break and do something else, I´m certain your neighbours will also appreciate you taking a break that makes you angry. Even in multiplayer there are moments that you´re just so annoyed by something, for example when you shot a guy several times and he stays alive but when he shoots you then you die instantly. Those are annoying moments and I can definately understand that you feel like rage quitting, but really that only shows bad character. Finish the match to the end and then quit, because you´re also abandoning your team and that doesn´t help anyone but the opposite team. If you suspect someone cheating, then I can understand that you want to leave the match. Invisible players in Max Payne 3 often made me want to quit, but I never did it. Because if anyone should leave it´s the person who is using cheats or just has some benefit due to a glitch or bug.

Rage quitting is popular? Well you have plenty of people on youtube that have rage quit videos, I don´t think they have any shortage of attention so it´s safe to say that people like to see others rage quit. But I doubt anyone wants to be in one of those videos themselves, because a rage quit moment is far from your best moments in gaming. Unfortunately you also have some sad losers that like to make others rage quit, because it´s ´fun´. When your fun comes at the cost of another then it´s not fun! Sure among friends there is nothing wrong with teasing and sometimes things can get a bit extreme, but I think good friends can take a lot from eachother. It´s really the strangers in a match that do everything they can to make the gaming experience for other players annoying that you have to watch out for, because they have no life and so they must ruin the lives of others. Don´t get mad at these people, these people have nothing going on in their life and so they must be this sad loser online to give some meaning to their life. Of course if you don´t mind showing your ugly side then you can make rage quit videos about yourself, but remember that people will be laughing at you and not with you...

Something that really bothers me is that people seem to rage quit these days for the slightest things, for example in GTA Online I was playing golf with another guy and just because he missed the hole in the green with just an inch he left. I mean talk about being a bad sport! In the end it´s just a game and in every game there is a winner and a loser, I don´t think anyone wants to be a loser but when you participate in a game then there is always a chance that you´ll be the one that loses. It´s just the way it is and instead of getting mad you should just try again or if you don´t feel like you can do better just do something else. I want to win, I play to win and if I don´t win then I´m not happy about it. But really leaving a game just because things don´t go my way? As if things will go much better in my next match with that attitude! In Black Ops 2 you had this 5 minutes penalty if you quit a match early, unfortunately this also meant that when the host left and the match failed to continue that everyone that returned to the lobby also got that 5 minutes penalty. I do like this idea though, people should think twice before pulling a rage quit and that will save some frustrations on the other side as well. Because it´s lame that you can´t finish matches because people keep leaving before the match is done, not to forget being in a team of rage quitters and that leaves you alone to fight a full team! In a way that makes someone that rage quits a lot a coward, because they´re unable to deal with the outcome of a match. Hm now I almost feel sad about them, almost...
