Stop freezing!!!
Have you had one of those days where you just can´t get a lucky break? It seems that everything you do is going wrong and not matter how hard you try it just won´t seem to work. I have that a lot with consoles, especially with the Xbox 360 and new games. Because I can´t really remember I had that many issues with it at first. For some reason a lot of games seem to freeze in my console, I´ve tried a lot of different things to keep this from happening but so far I haven´t had much luck. Which kind of makes me look at the games, because if my console isn´t to blame then there must be something wrong with the game right?
I think it´s safe to assume that whenever your console freezes it sucks, I don´t think anyone is ok with that. Especially when you´re in the middle of something, for example a difficult mission or having a nice score streak in multiplayer. In GTA Online it happened a lot to me, usually in free roam where my screen would just freeze without any real reason for it. This meant I had to go through the cloud server connect game again, something that is already very frustrating. Especially when it´s a busy time, when a lot of other people also try to get into GTA Online. It´s a big relief to see that most of your data is served, thanks to a good autosave in the game (you probably know that I´m not talking about GTA Online right now!). But that doesn´t really take away the frustration, because having to restart your console isn´t really something that keeps the fun in the gaming experience or helps you get interested in a game. Because no matter how much fun a game is, whenever it freezes you´re not happy about it.
So what do you do? Well restarting your console seems like the most likely action, but this doesn´t always guarantee that you won´t have any other freezes. I´ve had games where my game would freeze three to four times on one evening! It´s difficult to stay calm about that, especially if that means you have to do the same shit over and over again. Some people would say that you need to let your console rest every now and then, that seems like something you want to try but really playing games for four hours on a day isn´t that much I think. This seems more like something for people who play ten to twelve hours on one day. Another tip I got was to let my console breathe, which means that I can´t cramp it up in a closed cupboard. Because if the console gets too hot then there is a chance that it will freeze the game, this actually seems like a good reason why it happens to me a lot. Because my console doesn´t have that much space, but I don´t put anything else on it. So maybe it´s part of the problem? I still think it has something to do with modern games, all those extras seems to weigh a heavy toll on these old consoles and maybe it´s just too much sometimes? I don´t think the Ps 3 has that many freezing issues, which is also a more powerful console than the Xbox 360, so there might be some kind of truth in that theory. It sucks but the best thing you can do is just restart your console and try again, hopefully you don´t lose too much progress and it doesn´t ruin your fun with the game.
