Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
This game comes as a surprise to me, but to be honest I wasn´t a big fan of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. You play once more as Adam Jensen and kick some serious ass if you have to believe the trailer, which looks pretty cool. But if it´s going to be enough to convince me to buy this game remains to be seen...
This is a sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution?
It certainly looks that way, which is good news for everyone that enjoyed playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution. This does mean that if you haven´t played the first game that the second game might be a bit confusing, but it could be that there will be a recap at the start of the game to let you know what happened in the first game. In a game where the story actually matters it´s a good idea to be up to speed before you play, but that´s how I´m looking at it. The fact is that you´re playing as Adam Jensen again and he seems to be less stealthy and more action packed. In Human Revolution you could choose your approach but maybe in this game it´s decided for you.
No more stealth?
I don´t think that´s true, I´m getting the idea that the trailer just shows off what Adam is capable of and perhaps in some fights you have to use all your skills and tricks to beat the enemies. But I doubt that stealth is gone, because that brings an interesting alternative to the action packed path. Killing people in a game is easy, sneaking past them and never letting them know where you are isn´t! So I can´t imagine that they would abandon stealth.
What can you expect in this game?
This game seems to be focused on the clash between humans and augmented humans, which might lead to a campaign with two outcomes. One where you side with the humans and one where you side with the augmented humans, but that´s just a guess at this point. Maybe there is even a path in the middle, this should make multiple playthroughs more attractive but so far there is no confirmation about this. The game looks interesting, it´s definitely something you want to keep an eye on!
