Are gameclips really necessary?

If you have the Xbox One just like me then you´re probably familiar with gameclips, moments where the console automaticly saves a clip because apparently it´s worth checking out again. In GTA V I discovered that this means you get a gameclip every time you do something interesting, for example headshot someone with a sniper rifle or do a barrel roll with your car. It doesn´t seem like a big problem but when you get 18 gameclips in one evening you can understand that you get sick and tired of that!

Do you even do something with gameclips?

I must have over a hundred gameclips by now from all the games I played, but I don´t do anything with that. Why would I? Half of the time it´s not even something special, oh wait do I want to make a montage with all my headshots? No thanks, I´m not really into that type of shit! It sucks that gameclips are recorded automaticly, what happened to letting your console know if you want to record something. Make that a special button on the controller or a certain combination of buttons, hell it could even be a quick menu for all I care as long as I have control over that!

Gameclips are crap?

Usually they are, because they record some random moment in a game. For example in Dead Rising 3 I got a gameclip after failing a challenge, yes I really want to see how I failed in the game again! My point is that gameclips are completely random and you don´t control when they record and when not, at least not in your standard version where it happens anyway. Why do I have to turn something off that I didn´t even want on anyway? I´m not saying that gameclips are completely useless, but I think most people that play games don´t really do much with that. So perhaps it´s better to keep stuff like that on manual control instead of automaticly taking gameclips that are half of the time nothing interesting.
